The buildings in the trees for Lothlorien are probably extremely light as compared to a building of equivalent size.

Did anyone notice that the Rivendel Postern Gate not only works as a Postern Gate, but also like Dwarven Mines?

In due time yes.

Speaking of the different factions, I think it will be interesting to see how the Eleven Porters and building construction will be used regarding whilst playing in WOTR.

I think the type of builder should depend on the hero army leader; i.e. Thranduil's army gets Mirkwood builders, Celeborn's gets Lorien, and Elrond's gets Rivendell. *I'm not sure who the last hero army is... although I think it might be Glorfindel...*

Currently, the Army leaders are Elrond, Glorfindel, Thranduil and Haldir. I do like the idea of builders based on army leader however. It sounds like a code challenge though, also considering how the buildings will be implemented for WOTR map, not to mention how it will be used concerning an RTS defense battle. The issue with the current Army leaders and future is who would represent the Elves best in Wotr. Elrond and Thranduil are no brainers, Celeborn is a candidate for Lothlorien, but maybe Galadriel should be considering the summon help button says for Lothlorien "summon the aid of Galadriel and her people," something to that manner. :p

I haven't found anything on Celeborn's activity during the third age, however Galadriel's contributions are many. She would make a suitable replacement for Haldir as Hero Army Leader imo.

Celeborn led the defence of Lorien when it came under attack by the army of Dol Guldur three times in the War of the Ring. Throughout the Third Age he coordinated the placement and uses of the March-wardens, and in the final Siege of Dol Guldur led the muster of Lorien across the Anduin in a fleet of small ships.

Interesting, I guess Celeborn could end up becoming a suitable Army Leader after that. :umad:

In the real world trebs would shoot much farther and archers could probably shoot farther than they do in the game but less than trebs.

I understand that most infantry units get some sort of subtle ability to aid them one way or another, Gondor Soldiers and Uruk-hai Warriors can form the Block Formation, Orc warriors can devour another horde of orcs for XP, Rohan peasants should be able to repair structures, Dwarven guardians can charge down enemies, Goblin fighters can use poison blades, but Elven Swordsmen have no ability to aid them, so I though of an ability called 'Spar', when you order an Elven swordsman batallion to use this ability on another battlaion of friendly warriors, the start to gain experience. The theory being that Elves would have done a bit of friendly fighting to test and improve their fighting skills before going to battle. The ones on the receiving end don't get killed off, and both opponents gain XP, but not as much XP as an orc warrior horde can after it devours another horde, after a little while they stop sparing and resume positions.

Does this really matter?

I believe that the Lorien and Mirkwood swordsmen (someone please correct me here, if I'm wrong) might have stealth abilities in the forest.

Either way, I honestly don't believe that a special ability is needed for the Elves' swordsmen anyways.

But Rivendell swordsmasters should at least get some sort of ability, they were the finest swordsmen the Elves had. They didn't utilize formations or more exuberant abilities, so I think it's logical that they at least get this ability, for a bit of distinction.
