hmm soo if i understand it right, Elf will be multiple faction, you will begin with basic elfs, and normal fortress, and you can unlock one of the other elfish kingdoms wchich will become your subfaction, supporting you with new buildings and units ? or you will be able to have all three ( which sounds a bit op ) ?

can some1 ( if possible then Rob ) make a short introduction to the Rj Elf faction ?
"Let this scar signify the first blow against the mortal world."
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."

"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

we dont even have these changes in a private beta yet, so sadly it will most likely be a while before you all see this stuff but of course rob could give you a clearer time frame.

Sorry, I do have a strange obsession with the Galadhrim Warriors (no shit). That may also be why I like to get Elladan, Elrohir and Celeborn (did you know that all the Elven heroes except Sam, Haldir, Thranduil, and Legolas are related?) very.. very.. excessively.

we're probably looking at a private beta in 2 weeks, so another public release wont come out until rob feels that what he wants in is in and we have ironed out all the major bugs and issues. so 2 weeks is not really realistic for a public release.

A good QC process is (and good beta testers are) so critical to mod success, I'm more than happy to wait for them to do their job properly. :crazed:

Actually all elven heroes are related, even though not clearly at first

Elu thingol of the teleri is related to : Elrond, Arwen, Celeborn, Cirdan , Elladan and Elrohrir and Thranduil and through Thranduil, Legolas
Through Earwen, Galdriel's mother Galadriel is related to Elu Thingol
However, many links are unknown, even Though Tolkien did state they were related, i.e tthe exact relation of Cirdan to thingol for example

Glorfindel is most likely related to Finew royal house, and hence Galadriel his grand daughter, I think thats everyone

So, everyone related, except Sam

I think I mentioned this but to get rid of some of the Elven heroes, Arwen could be moved to Gondor. She was their eventual queen, after all.

As mentioned elsewhere, Elrohir and Elladan are being removed. While a 4th Age mod would make sense to have Arwen in Gondor, a War of the Ring era and before should she should stay with the elves (Either Lorien or Rivendell, I chose Rivendell more as connection to Elrond than anything else).

Heroes for Elves:

Lorien - Galadriel, Celeborn, Haldir
Rivendell - Elrond, Glorfindel, Arwen
Mirkwood - Thranduil, Legolas, and another hero not yet identified
General scout - Sam

Elladan & Elrohir are being changed and will be added as inn system heroes as well as added for a power for Gondor - Grey Company.

Ok, I like.. but who or what is the one hero for Mirkwood not identified? Have you decided?

I would assume a new, original hero.
Also, I like the new Twins' method of recruitment..I've always pictured them as being willing to travel and fight for a good cause in foreign lands.
Cheers,
-mike
