soo there are 10 heroes right now ( without the inn brothers ). thas pretty high number . . . . . more or its enough ?

That's fine. With the way we have split the elves into subfactions, its gonna be in your interest to buy the heroes associated with your subfaction, as the others will have higher cost and build time.

Yes, it is quite a large amount of heroes. And they will be limited in some fashion with the sub-factions. Ideally I want them not to be buildable until allies have arrived but there are issues with adding upgrade requirements to respawns when you add to the number of heroes. There is something hard-coded in the hero system where it expects a certain number of heroes in a faction. Any more than that some of the heroes are overwritten and other bugs when they die at some times or they will not show up.

If you don't mind me saying, The Mirkwood faction if a bit short of Heroes, namely two. I'd like to suggest an original hero for Mirkwood, just to even things up. any one else can post their own Mirkwood hero if they want to.

Celebel (name meaning Silver-Star)
Bio:
Commander of Thranduil's armies in Mirkwood, Celebel is a fine swordsman in his own right, known among his warriors to take out patrols of invading orcs with his swift and stealthy close combat abilities. While Legolas porves his true mastery in ranged attack, Celebel specializes in the use of a Sword.

lvl 1) Knife Throw
lvl 3) Leadership
lvl 5) Strength of Oropher (Armor and Damage increased)
lvl 6) Experience of War (Provides XP to units)

im pretty sure there is another mirkwood hero planned but i dont know whether there is an idea yet or not. so this may or may not be useful, im not quite sure.

If he is a swordsman, can he have Glorfindel's animations? I think that they are good but underused. The normal Elf attacks that the Noldors, Elrond, Galadhrim, etc. use are a little on the weird looking side.

Elves still include Ents? You should give them a power to get invisible when they're standing still in near trees
not stealth but just like a tree..?:p

elves will not have ents, only rohan will. elves are instead getting sorcerers of sorts called the noledhel (sp?) which will come in 3 types: water, air, and fire to represent the 3 elven rings. these will act as their siege.

ents might become a bit op if they stealth when near trees, but it would be cool. imagine marching your army through the woods towards your enemies and suddenly 3 ents come out of nowhere and start destroying your units! perhaps there oculd be two types of ents, one type would be melee only and could stealth near trees and the other would be normal non-stealthing ents. that would be sweet :p

can you add the " dunno the name " ability that ents had in BFME ? it was something like raze building, when you used that ability instead of normal attack, they dealt more dmg to structures

i could never get that to work for me in bfme1. anyone else have an issue with it? they always just walked up to the building and stood there, doing nothing...

newer got problem with it, after using i just watched as the ent dealt MASSIVE dmg to building and 2 or tree ents doing this to non fortrees building could take it down wery quickly

Just when I thought the Elves and Lothlorien could not get more complex, it's time to show the most recent work on the Lothlorien structures. But, first I'll explain how the Elven faction will work.

- At the start you will have an unpacked castle similar to MotE, where you can choose either Rivendell, Lothlorien, or Mirkwood. The unpacked castle will then be replaced with your chosen fortress. With this your porters commandsets will be set to the faction of your chioce, enabling them to build their structures. With this, you will also be able to call on the heroes and units of the other sub-factions. From the fortress you can call for them and they will then be available from your training grounds. Hopefully this will clarify how it all works, and the details of everything. With how everything turned out, I can't be more satisfied with the faction than I am.

Ally Beacon

You can build the Beacon from the Fortress as an upgrade:

Once built you can call you Elven allies from Rivendell or Mirkwood. You can only select one at a time, once selected the beacon lights for 6 minutes and at the end the elven allies are available. To find out how long you have to wait or how far along the call is, you can select the flame and see the time remaining bar to let you know how much longer you will need to wait. While building the beacon takes clock time for the fortress, and the initial call for help will take a shot amount of time, the 6 minute wait will have no impact on the clock of the fortress (upgrades, heroes, porters).

Lothlorien Training Grounds

As mentioned elsewhere, the unit building for the elves are going to be quite different than any of the other factions. From one building you can build melee, cavalry, archers, & elite from all three factions, but there are most definitely restrictions but it will allow for extreme flexibilty for the elves. How the training grounds for Lothlorien will work:

- You start out with an Archery Range, where you will only be allowed to purchase archers
- From here you can upgrade it with a stables (for cavalry) or a barracks (for infantry)
- You may also build a dormitory, which will allow you to purchase units from the sub-factions that have answered your call
- There are 3 levels with each combination, unlocking more units, and you must have the barracks upgrade to purchase elite units

The whole system is now working between the beacons, allies, faction selection, etc. I hope you all enjoy! I'm really satisfied with how it came out. The only thing I would like to add to the Training Grounds would be to have idle units practicing, but I'm not to good at that part, so I'll try to add later when I can build the skills.

You are editor magician. This is the originality that EA lacked, ( god damn them, lets hope they wont screw up the Red Alert 3 ). If i would be rich ( which would be nice lol, sadly im not ;) ) i would donate you for this artistic work. really you should get paid for this, WOW. And its just Elfes, i cant wait till other factions .

You are really strong willed person, i must say. You see your goal, and you slowly aproach it, with every new update, with every bug fixed, step by step, this mode is becoming a masterpiece.

I hope you keep up the good work, and may you newer lack the good ideas :rolleyes:
