commander is definitely the best one! it gives you an expanded view of the battlefield (with a little more lag, but not bad) and still lets you give your orders effectively. this new one is very exciting though!

i dont know what it is . . . but it looks coool

( witth the what it is i mean, why its a video, and not just a screenshot ? )
"Let this scar signify the first blow against the mortal world."
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."

"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

Indeed it is, and it looks cool :)
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

The new sky looks sweet...though I think the effects may need to be more drastic to be effective. I didn't realize there was anything going on until my third viewing :)
Cheers,

This looks exciting :) My guess is that Rob is planning on animating the currently static objects in the sky.

I think all it needs is the main collumn of smoke to move around and the eye to flit back a forth a bit.

Yes it's really cool, one question I've always ask by myself...and I hoped it would be added by EA in BFME2 but isn't it possoble to make the black gate open/close?? (it would make it another fortress map?

This has been mentioned in the private forums...if possible, it'll at least be in the opening cinematic for the campaign mission.

Here are a couple of maps by Hendambar, a fantastic mapper who has allowed RJ to include her maps. I've gone ahead and added skies and camera system.

First up is Brethil - "Brethil, the birch forest of Beleriand where Turin found refuge with the Outlaws.

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Second map to show off is Eastfold - "The Eastfold of Rohan lies between Rohan's capitol, Edoras, to the west and the Gondor fiefdom of Anorien to the east. The Great West Road which ran from Minas Tirith to the Fords of Isen marched across Rohan through Eastfold."

A few shots from a Rohan vs. Isen matchup:

Fantastic maps, fun to play as well as beatiful, you can find them on IP and mevault to play.

Also, here is a video for the sky of Lanthir Lamath as well as showing off the new aerial view:
