We actually have our own website: The Wardrobe! Please note that the mod is still for BFME I. :wink_new:

No, we haven't gotten hosted yet because we still don't have what the admins want to see. We've gotten a lot closer though... :thumbsupsmiley:
Until I have what the admins want to see, I am not going to bother them with needless requests for hosting. :wink_new:

And what do they need addition to the majority of 1/3 of the factions' skins completed and a complete tech tree, in addition to a decent croud of people? SERIOUSLY, this mod has more work on it done that MME.

Eh? MME has a load of new skins and has added 2 whole factions I believe. A lot was done before Kwen was given hosting. I suggest you check out all the news Kwen posted.

The Narnia team appears to be prepared to put the work in, however from what I can see from the .big file, most of the new skins are animal skins and the one of the other 2 units is by Nertea, a contributor not a team-member. We need to see that textures/models will continue to be created, else the mod won't be able to do much.

1/3 of the skins? I wish I had that now, but we're nowhere near that. and I'll apply for hosting long before that. :p

M@tt is correct.

Sorry, I was thinking BFME+ or what not. Anyways, Nertea did give you the Telmarine skins, right?

Well, I may be able to help with some skinning but I'm really not very experienced. I think one more skinner needs to be added to the team.
Greetings, community.

They are amazing ingame, as is usually the case with all of Nertea's work. :p

Don't worry Gfire, ElrondHighLord has just joined us as a skinner! :p

okay, when I applied for hosting the last time, this is what I presented as my proof of work:
Nertea's Telmarine skins
Flameguard's entire collection of animal and centaur models and skins

They (as Rob38 said) wanted to see a little more work done, including mapping. More importantly, they wanted to see a complete team. that was my problem at the time, I myself couldn't do the models (I absolutely stink at art and 3-D) and I did not have a person signed up to do the modeling on a long-term basis. All I had was donations.

since then, I've only gotten one new model done, but I've finally got a dedicated modeler, DIGI, who is very good at what he does. No mapping has been done yet, but Christmas has interrupted much. When I get about 2 or 3 more models, with their skins, and maybe a map, then I'll reapply.

Maps are less important. 2D art even less so. Skins and models, and being able to code then into the game is what's important for hosting, and no mod should get hosting if it's based on donations.

I agree whole-heartedly, which is why I'm waiting till I get more models and skins, and I can code it in. :p

coding and art are already taken care of. Modeling and animating is what we would be looking for. ;)

I suggest you first find out what you're good and bad at, and concentrate on improving what you're good at. That way you'll know what to offer to mods.

just do it, in other words. Actually model something. Actually code something. Actually animate something. See which one you find easier than the others.

for starters, go here for a modeling task. Someone is challenging modelers to make a Vanyar elf. So make a Vanyar elf as best you can.

For coding, check out some of the tutorials, and do them.

okay, so no elves for you. then try something from Narnia. I'll be needing a cat/tiger/feline model (along with a million others). I can't guarantee that your model will be accepted or used, but its something to try. Not to mention, people will be able to give comments for improving it.
