If it happened that the germans would had joined the allies in WW2,then Germany would had been bigger, and maybe it would had included Austria and an part which now belongs to Poland.
Plus,we talk about the flag that was choosen by the nazis, the nazis would had never colaborated with the allies.
Maybe an pre-WW2/WW1 flag?...

oh, and why isn't Australia and UK under the same 'team'? as Aus is still ruled by the queen, so shouldn't they be together?
First, I selected Australia because it would have been too easy to make up the Alliance as a solely European power with a transatlantic friend. Even if Australia is very Euro-centric I wanted something that would be geographically different.
Lastly, Australia is only a post-colonial offshoot of the United Kingdom. It’s independence is quite new and has never acquired the time nor resources to dominate other countries. So making it an ideal member for the UDN.
why is there a national socialistic flag for germany?
I wouldn’t consider it national socialistic but a fusion of previous German flags but I wanted a flag that still implied Germany as a colonial/expansionist power. Keep in mind that the German flag we are familiar with today was produced by a world war and nearly 50 years of foreign occupation…events which never happen in the Red Alert timeline.
So goodbye tri-color flag and hello hauntingly nazi-ish flag.

i see, i see.
anyway, in your mod are there countries like befor? or are there only 2 allied 'subfactions?(UDN, LCP)
or are the countries sorta like 'subsubfactions'?
(so there are the allies, and then there are the two 'teams' within the allies, which might have slightly different units, and then the countries are under different 'teams' and can have their country specific things)
and being Australian myself i think im in a good position to make this suggestion of the Australian team. a unit which replaces the GI, called ANZAC infantry, or ANZAC trooper. these can be exactly the same as GI's but half the cost, for their image a brown recoloured GI, with the 'cowboy' hat
just my idea, always wanted to see them in a mod

But the 1946-1949 flag a bit edited would fit perfectly,if we want something different.Or Josef Wirner's looks usable.
But not the imperial one, looks too...umm...unmodern.

I actually went to a ton of wikipedian articles searching through former flags for all countries except America. I think people would have fallen into a seizure in mere reaction to a slightly different American flag.
@Some_WierdGuy
Yes, it goes like that.
Each sub-faction has a few minor bonuses while all countries have one very powerful unit. This way people are still getting a lot of different units but not being completely overloaded with them if I made each country have 2-5 extra units.
I appreciate the suggestion but Australia’s “special unit” has already been decided. Just like in Mental Omega all country specific units will be vehicles to keep matters balanced. Giving Australia a discounted GI would be doing it a disservice when it comes to face against a first tier half track.
Just for fun, here is a list of countries/factions that I either thought about using or I removed after applying them to the Alliance/Allies.
Factions
North American Defense Treaty
Commonwealth Coalition
European Axis
United European Security Alliance
Asian Alliance
Countries
Argentina > Considered, but too much lip service to YR Argentina.
Belgium > Considered, but too European
Finland > Considered, but too European
Greece > Considered, only because it is “canon” but cut because it was European.
Italy > Very close, but decided to cull it in order to make units more multifaceted.
Malta > Considered, but too small and not well known
Netherlands > Very close, but decided to cull it in order to make units more multifaceted.
New Zealand > Considered, but not “powerful” enough
Philippines > Considered, but not “powerful” enough
Spain > Very close, but decided to cull it in order to make units more multifaceted
Singapore > Considered, but too small.
Taiwan > Considered, but I know I would get a ton of shit for using it

i would only add it if each country got multiple specific units(eg, each one gets an infantry, aircraft, tank and naval unit as a specific)

------------- INTRODUCTION
Suffering a humiliating defeat by the Western powers, Russia and her sister countries became subjugated under enemy control until a pro-democratic, pro-Western Romanov government was installed. However much has changed over the past thirty odd years and a new, revived and vengeful Russia has awakened with more then 3/7s of the earth’s population forming the Collective. The Collective fights for freedom from foreign oppression and social equality for her people…at least for those willing to follow socialist doctrine. The Collective uses unbridled brute force and overwhelming numbers to intimidate and outfight it’s enemies. Collective tanks are always the most well armed and infantry can be produced in mass to overcome any shortfalls their military faces.
-------------- BRIEF
Soldiers, countrymen and those of the common cause, this is the day all patriots have longed for, the day when the mighty Soviet empire reclaims her sovereignty and its rightful position as the world’s greatest power. Since the end of the Second Great War our wealth has been stolen, our resources plundered and our people impoverished and exploited by an unholy alliance of despicable criminals, traitors and Western capitalists. For years, the Western alliance has occupied our homelands, demoralized our people with their threats of lethal force, corrupted our political system with their puppet governments and yet our people continue to suffer unabated by the interests of the West.
This ends now, today.
We, the suffering and ignored majority of the world, have always known that the Allied nations were greedy, arrogant and vengeful. The rich and powerful who jerk the strings of the puppets have always coveted the developing world as a captive market for their factories, its national resources as a treasure to be plundered and its people as a pool of cheap labor to be ruthlessly exploited.
The combined governments of our Collective has given the greedy West and her conspirators an ultimatum to restore all that has been taken from you, the long-suffering, uncomplaining defenders of the common man or face retribution. Our enemies have lectured to us for many decades about the supremacy of market force and survival of the fittest. I know that everyone of you will take the greatest pleasure in demonstrating to them just what the law of the jungle really means.
No matter how the Western media tarnishes us as rebels, extremists or terrorists always remember that today you are the common man’s liberator. You will lift and unshackle them from their American and European masters and you will use your weapons against anyone who stands in our way.

-------------- FACTION: Solidarity of Collective States (SCS)
Experienced: Tesla Trooper, Horrid Gunship, Tsar Tank
Advantages: Defense 25% decrease in unit armor, 10% decrease in armor price
Disadvantages: 25% decrease in unit speed
Since the death of the Romanov regime the new Russian government has been utilizing an insistent expansionist foreign policy throughout Asia. What has started as a spark in Red Square back in August 9th, 1984 has quickly ignited a social revolution throughout the entire continent. The affects were dramatic; the once calm Indian subcontinent was thrown into upheaval with new countries forming from within the pandemonium, the decades long Chinese civil war ended with billions of Chinese citizens uniting under a red banner and the startling militarism of a previously docile Ukraine into a Russian strong arm. Afterwards there was few dissent by neighboring Asian countries as the iron curtain immediately engulfed them with little resistance. Thus started the formation of the largest military pack in the world; the Solidarity of Collective States or SCS. With an army that makes up 1/12 of the world’s population and an armor division that out numbers the Alliance’s own by 1/3, the SCS uses brutality and excess to overwhelm her opponents. The SCS uses an impressive range of specially crafted armor vehicles to out muscle any competition in the war zone.

-------------- FACTION: Red Liberation Front (RLF)
Experienced: Crazy Ivan, Scud Launcher, Kirov Airship
Advantages: 25% decrease in structure development, 10% increase infantry speed
Disadvantages: 25% decrease in unit armor
Although not as strong, connected or voluminous as the SCS, the Red Liberation Front or RLF evangelizes the Collective doctrine of self-determination and worker’s solidarity by any means deemed necessary; terrorist, political destabilization and instigating civil rebellion within occupied countries. This unified front has succeeded in seducing many Western occupied countries into battling for the Collective’s cause and at times securing their independence. Those who have failed to heed their vision find their countries soon becoming unwilling participants in regional guerilla wars. The most notorious of these events happened in 2006; while docking at a Moroccan port, a small radioactive bomb welded by a truck nearly sank the Mediterranean fleet of France. Even though the majority of the causalities were Moroccan, the incident aided in intimidating European powers to give up their reign throughout the world.
Although the RLF’s tactics favor an asymmetrical edge unlike other factions, the RLA’s military is still mostly conventional.

Tier 1
Champion Tank
Classification - Crusier Tank
Strength - Armor/Structure/Infantry
Weakness - Aircraft
Primarily designed for confronting armor and suppressing civil revolt, this controversial tank design proved it’s worth during the Euphrates War when a brigade managed to suppress a civilian revolt in downtown Basara and was still capable of engaging enemy armor only moments later. Since then the Champion has become the primary choice in most Alliance nations and has made up the backbone of their core armor units. However the Champion lacks the armor and firepower of it’s competitor but it relies on speed, agility and long range trajectory to out fight Collective elephants and other lower tier vehicles. When faced against infantry, the Champion uses it’s suppression beam, a low intensity laser that sends enemy combatants into a state of vertigo, to instantly pacify them and thus rendering them vulnerable to attack.
Avenger Humvee
Classification - Mobile SAM
Strength - Aircraft
Weakness - Infantry/Armor/Structure
Originally, this Humvee was conceived as an anti-infantry transport vehicle but this role quickly changed when the USSR militarized and began the production of aircraft once again. Now enter the Avenger; the Alliance’s rapid response to incoming aerial threats and yet still has room to taxi two infantry units across the field.
Repair Tank
Classification - Mobilized Repair
Strength - N/A
Weakness - Anything
Desperate to find a way to make their champion tanks last longer during their advancing drive to Port Moresby, Alliance battlefield technicians crafted the repair tank as a mean to bring the repair facility to the distressed vehicle. The deployment of repair tanks in Papua New Guinea turned the war in the Alliance’s favor and totally kept casualty rates low.
Unfortunately, the repair tank has it’s drawbacks as it is an easy and favorable target due to it’s noticeable vulnerabilities; fair speed, light armor and being kept unarmed. Engineers have managed to remedy this problem by providing the unarmed vehicle with a single garrison that can be manned by any infantry unit. However this protection is very limiting.
Tier 2
Kestrel Fighter
Classification - Fighter
Strength - Armor/Vehicle
Weakness - Aircraft/Infantry
Mirage Tank
Classification - Ambusher
Strength - Vehicle/Infantry
Weakness - Aircraft/Structure
Sioux Helicopter
Classification - Light Transport
Strength - Infantry
Weakness - Vehicles/Anti-Air
Tier 3
Prism Tank
Classification - Support
Strength - Buildings/Infantry
Weakness - Vehicles/Aircraft
Battlefortress
Classification - Light Transport
Strength - Infantry
Weakness - Vehicles/Aircraft/Buildings
Mohawk Helicopter
Classification - Attack Helicopter
Strength - Vehicles/Buildings
Weakness - Infantry/Anti-Air
Phoenix Bomber
Classification - Bomber
Strength - Buildings
Weakness - Anti-Air

Could you maybe give the UDN a LAV III? It's unique
No, it really doesn’t fit into UDN’s air superiority over ground dominance roll. But I appreciate the suggestion.
Out of curiosity, how are you going to mess out with the buildings?
Mess out or up? Well, buildings will mostly stay static. There will not be any country specific buildings but there will be a few support structures that enhance a sub-faction’s war doctrine. The only building that will have a major overhaul will be tech centers. They’ll play a more critical and expensive role with the price of each tech center starting at +5000 credits. Due to the cost players will be expected to invest more in their tier 1 & 2 units and it stops players from teching out too fast. Tech centers can only be built once, like a hero unit, and they can withstand a direct nuclear attack much like a conyard can. Tech centers, like in previous command and conquer games, will give way to tier 3 units but also a wide array of upgrades, strategies and research projects that you can invest in. A fully upgraded tech center may cost as much as 11,000 credits so they become treasured and well protected buildings.
