Fudge is correct. The only downside is its limited to one texture only. Thanks for the compliments.

I've seen the pics of edains isengard, its wonderful to look at. However its lacking some of the accuracy to the film. That might be intentional on their part since they are merging both book and movie.

I think I've got most of the terrain and layout close, I have noticed some inconsistencies within the film too. So I've had to either turn a blind eye to it or conpromise.

I havent really checked. Ive scaled it to 2.0 like the walls. I will look into it though

Also look out for the orientation. Wheellee said to me that it is supposed to face east. I.e. not lined up with the gate.

According to my reference pics this is correct. However its possible that the door and stairs to the tower are supposed to face east. I can't really tell in the images I have.

Edit: I just checked the thains book the door to the tower is indeed east facing in the book description. Thanks for the heads up.

I get the feeling the tower should be slightly bigger/higher in relation to the courtyard...
Btw, I guess you know that the objects INI will have to be scaled the same amount in the Geometry section =) For collision purposes

I honestly don't mind doing the geometry for NJM - all it is is a whole lot of guess and checking while editing it in the correct INI.

Or you could import the model into max, scale it up by 200%, and get the geometry information the old fashioned way (use a cylinder in the center, note down dimensions, coordinates). A lot more accurate.

That way would be better for bridges and walls, but as this doesn't have a walkable surface and I have a good knowledge of distances in Worldbuilder I would be estimating and not randomly guessing, so it's cool for me. =p

However! Do we want to edit the 3D model of Isengard so Saruman can go on top? Or what if I make it taller or wider?

Yeah Im looking at the tower being 3.0 scale instead of 2. Honestly though the current model is a bit short and fat.

Then I will use Mathijs' way of scaling and scale both the geometry and the tower so it is taller. =D

Is it possible to strech the tower hight-wise, without an equal amount of scaling side-wise? =)

Yes, that is possible in 3ds Max 8. =D

Cool, that sounds promising as the biggest problem is not the scale alone, but rather that the tower is to short in comparison to width. It should be maybe 3 times higher whilst only 1,5-2 times wider =)
