Nice! But the river Isen, I think is should come out of the mountians.

Hehe I know that wasn't your intention, I actually have that pic too. I guess I was just remarking that something was just a bit off.

Now my reason for placing the river there is quite simple. First the mountains behind isengard are a spur jutting eastward from the main part of the misty mountains. Isengard is in a large valley created by the mountains, the river owen flows north to south through the valley past isengard on it's eastern side. So the northern part of the valley where the river flows from isn't on the map.

Allright. How large is that valley? I thought the Fords of the Isen till the gates of Isengard, and from there 3 more miles.

Plus, the ring of Isengard was huge. Way larger than that of the one in the map, but about the same thickness (or closer). To make that truly accurate, you would have to model the walls to have less curve, and put a bunch of them up. A lot of work.

But it can be done with rescaling!

I know, that's why I said "model" :p
Greetings, community.

looks great so far, when the trees are added, I can have an army of Snaga cut them down, like in the original BFME. :)
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

NJM - I hope you don't mind I read through the forum and heard a suggestion to have Saruman mount the tower, I went ahead and added a passenger bone to the Tower Of Orthanc. I sent the file to Nazgul, I suggest though that if using the tower that you use it via the S.E.E compatible worldbuilder cos I corrected the angle of the tower, it was set at an angle of -45 degrees, either that or rotate the tower plus 45 degrees so the tower will be at the right angle in S.E.E. don't know why I did it, thought it would interfere with the direction Saruman was facing if I didn't have the tower facing the same direction as regular units... anyway I'm babbling, later, Ed

BTW - that's some ace work you got going on there

Are there going to be a couple of small pools in there? The Atlas of Middle-earth had a couple there...

Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

Well I'd like to see the picture from the atlas, I could add them. Although the atlas has proven to be somewhat controversial, and not to mention inaccurate. I tend to go off descriptions in the books and the visuals from the films. Thanks for your input and suggestions.

Hmm.. in the books, it mentioned that lots of Saruman's Men-servants had crude wooden houses built around the gates and Orthanc itself. Maybe some of the Bree/Dale objects could be used to represent them?

Dunland wooden shacks should do fine for that purpose if NJM wants to go with that...
I'll send the Orthanc via PM NJM :p
