Honestly I'm just too lazy to read through the forums, but has Beorn as a hero been thought of? I think he would be most interesting to make/use.

What about Grimbeorn? I'm sure he was still alive. You could put him in Dwarves, or maybe Rohan

Shapeshifters are cool, and they were essential for the dwarves when they were travelling to Rivendell. Someone says that the road whould have long been unusable if it hadents been for the beornings.

I know it' s probably downright impossible to have a beorning attack in bear mode, but changing the human into a bear could have its perks.

Just add a transform toggle to the hero's powers and you could send him stealthed as a bear close to the enemies base and then toggle back to human to attack. The perfect sneak attack!

Why is it impossible to attack as a bear? :xcahik_:

There's no bear attack anims. We could make them, but we don't wanna add beorn atm. He will most likely feature in the campaign though.

Neh? :xcahik_: Ed could do it pretty easily I bet, but he doesn't really fit any of the factions.

He could always be a summoned unit, like rohans hunters summon or he could be an inn hero.

Beornings as units however would probably fit more in with dwarves, elves, or rohan.

I think Beorn would be a great addition to the mod, perhaps he could be an inn hero, along with the other Beornings and Woodmen of Mirkwood. Although technically Beorn was dead by the time of the War of the Ring, Grimbeorn his son lead the Beornings during the war.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

Grimbeorn could be a Dwarven hero on the basis that he's friendly with the Woodman of Mirkwood who are related closely to the Dalemen, but I disagree with having Beornings as hordes. It just doesn't click. There aren't enough.

I think Beorings and woodsmen could be in Mirkwood faction. Woodsmen espicially

Well the Beornings and were friendly with both the Dwarves and the Elves, that's why I recommended them as an Inn faction. Beornings as Hasufel said would be single units that can shapeshift from man to bear. Woodsmen would be like rangers, decent range and damage, sstealth and possibly a weaopn toggle. To specialize them from other stealthed archers, they do extra damage against beasts and monsters.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .
