Careful. This link is DANGEROUS. Do NOT click it. This one, however, is fine.

But there's no problem with having more than one map per planet.

Got tired of Fest, so I'm taking a break from that. Here's some mountains on other random planet

Well, I'd love to do some mapping but I'm not sure it I'm good enough. Kashyyyk sounds interesting so I guess I'll try my hand at it, but I can't guarantee anything.

Edit: Before I start, is someone else already doing a Kashyyyk map?

Doesn't really matter; planets aren't limited to a few thousand feet of terrain

Yeah m@tt, quite helpful :p

I drew up a concept for the layout. What do you think?

Edit: This is for RotWK, right? Want to make sure I'm using the right wb.

Yes, I see. *Ports to BFME2 WB*

BTW, in case anyone was wondering, the red dots are player starting positions, the other dots are meant to be capturable buildings. I guess I'll let you guys put lairs and capturable buildings on, though. It may require some custom tree models, as well.

When will there be new palantir-portraits? ;)

The lightning looks great, but Darth Sidious with (not blond) Glorfindels face doesn't. ^^

It looks great, except it might be a little too dark. When put in-game, it might be hard to tell who it is, you know.

2d art might be another way I can participate in this mod. A style should be decided shortly, though, so everyone can make their images match up.

What about for 2d art, each faction had their own art style. For instance, instead of the plain parchment Palantir portraits they have in the game, each faction would have a unique style or background?

Yea we need a general style we can all fall back on so the games art isnt drastically changing. That was like a 30 second prototype, and I hadn't messed with lighting. We know that 2 factions are planned atm, so how about we divide the art into jobs with one person doing a set job, so that set is a lot the same, so that among a faction images look the same.

1) Good palantiri powers
2) Evil Palantiri Powers
3) Good Heroes/Units
4) Evil Heroes/Units

Having minor graphical changes among these sets would help set the mood of the game. If Yoda likes this idea, I wouldnt mind doing the Good Heros/Units.
