Sorry for making a new topic but I just wanted to know how many people have the same opinion about dunadain rangers.

That's why I made a poll, so please vote for the variant you want to see in a game.

I am not from the modding team but hope the modding team will see the topic.

Since the one I want isn't a choice, I would like the Dunedain Rangers have a small buff and health buff all around so to to make them better compared to the Ithilien Rangers. I think that would make them more worth their cost.

A toggle wouldn't hurt, even though I voted to keep them the same ;)

In my opinion, the mounted Dunedain should be renamed "Dunedain Riders", and recieve a toggle weapon and the forged blades upgrade. As for the normal rangers, they should get an HP and a slight damage increase, and a formation toggle that let's them toggle between normal formation and "Ambush Formation", which makes all the units in the horde form a wide circle where all the rangers become invisible and dark more damage and auto-target any any enemy that is within the circle, but take mor damage (basicly, it's kindda like the pikemen "porcupine Formation" except that they go into aggressive stance and form an invisible ring).

I was utterly raped by nothing but rangers and trebs today...if anything, they're overpowered.


I do like the ambush formation though. Scrap longshot and replace it with that.

not really, as long as they cant get so easily killed by swords, they're ok.
Anyway, they are pretty fast archers, and pretty much dont suck.
EDIT: D-rangers, when will they ever get longshot fixed? If i had it today, there would be a totally diff. outcome......

iirc, longshot can't be used by combined Rangers, but a solo battalion can use it fine. ;)

towers are useless when playing a person who has sense to make a hell load of siege.
Anyway, towers should be limited IMO. Not many could fit in there anyway.
