How vulnerable are the trapped units to allied artillery shooting the wall? Should a player who gets part of his army trapped expect to lose some of the trapped units by trying to get them out?
They are almost safe. The circle is big enough and enemy can move units far from dangerous area.
Some changes are not clear for me.
Let me see:
1 -Global build speed reducement by 2 times. Not too much?
2 -Supply stores will have 10 times more resources. Is it means 600k?
3 -Supply gatherers cost doubled. It means that GLA Workers will cost 400?
4 -Supply centers cost doubled. It means for example that USA have to pay (1 dozer -1000, PPlant -800, Supply -4000, Chinook -2400) ~8000-8500 and there are no defences, no WF, no Airfield, no second Supply. From 10k it will be the most boring, to sit and wait until 2 Chinooks deliver the money.
5 -Do we need Command Truck for Assault Gen's Sneak Attack?
6 -All rank 1 basic soldiers are equal in the begining. Minnigunners, Cyborgs, Flamethrowers and Tox rebels will recive their normal weapons after an upgrade at rank 1. How much does it cost? Will it be equal to all factions?
7 -USA and China WF are going offline when you don't have enough power. Why? Poeple will go on each others PP, and GLA has advatage against USA and China.
8 -Money generators are limited in tournament mode too (like superunits, superweapons, Commands, Heroes). Can't they gain money faster? Or supply gathers can gather the money faster (they're costly, and Supply docks holds 10 times more money).
1. It is not too much. Starcraft and Warcraft have even longer build speeds.
2. It means that supply docks are infinite. You will be able to gather resources during 5 hours of the game. The most of matches will end before the first dock expires.
3. Yes, but I played versus AI and changed my mind. 400 for GLA Worker, 900 for China Supply Truck is too much. I'm still unsure about this change. I will recalculate costs the second time.
4. The same as 3. It will be made.
5. Yes.
6. 1500 for all. Available at War Factory for China and at Black Market for GLA. So, you can not research it instantly. You need time to build structures.
7. Power plants are more significant now. The only reason of building them was to mantain base defenses and super weapons. But if you are at rank lower than 5 and don't use base defenses, you can spit on power and don't build power plants at all. It is inccorrect.
8. Money generators are limited in all modes. The only way to get faster income is to capture more oil derricks and more supply docks.
Another thing, remember the first generation of Red Alert ? In the Skirmish, you can choose the Tech. level for the game, for example, you can choose only using infantry in this battle, or using not more than regular tank in another battle; it was quite fun to play that way sometime, so is it possible to create such option ?? Just wondering.
It is impossible to implement on Zero Hour engine.
