It did not take a year to figure out how to remove the ugly IMPASSABLE subobjects, but I have returned to the question today, and it took me about 15 minutes !!!!!!! :thumbsupsmiley:

Last year I missed, but I didn't know it, the WDUMP tool !!! ...and with that one the life is soo easy... I simply made the shininess and opacity of these subobject materials 0.0 and 0.0 and they are GONE !!!

If you want to do the same, just open the LivingMap.w3d with hex editor, find LM_Impassable and change the values 80 3f 00 00 00 3f to 00 00 00 00 00 00 ... for all materials of this name.

These IMPASSABLE things are to depart from these lands, never to return.

I believe especially the RJ Mod might use this, as there are regions like Moria or the Path of the Dead that were covered by those uglies :evgr:

Sorry to revive an old topic, but can anyone explain how to make the Bfme1 Golden Hall of Edoras and the Bfme1 Bree houses show on the living world map?

Those might be props or city armies commented in the livingworld files, not sure which ones though.

They are armies for the name and movies, but no idea for the models , part of the code:

First part
;//////////// Cities (Yes, this is a hack for mouse over movies.  Use MoveArmy to update the movies for context)  //////////////
SpawnArmy
Name = Shire_Mouseover
PlayerArmy = Shire_PlayerArmy
Icon = City_Large
PalantirMovie = Palantir_513
PlayerOwned = No
Position = X:-850 Y:1300
IsCity = Yes
End

Secound part

;////////////////////// CITIES /////////////////////////////////////////

LivingWorldPlayerArmy
Name = Shire_PlayerArmy
DisplayNameTag = LWA:Shire
End

(Lusta means Lazy)
