It sounds like your running out of memory, but that's just a guess. If you are running out of memory theres no telling what errors you can get before it crashes. When it comes to performance and memory use the difference between the mod and original ZH is how many units you can field and how many the AI will make. Remix does involve much larger armies and as a result does have much higher system requirements than the original game. If this is what's getting your system then I'm afraid you may just be out of luck. 200 infantry can cause problems though. If you had built 200 units in the classic ZH the game would crash every time. It doesn't matter if they're little or big units, that's still 200 path finding AIs trying to move around each other at the same time. worth note, in the next release it will be much harder to make 200 infantry.
I'm not sure what to tell you about 20-30 units getting stuck on each other and not moving. I've got game play videos with armies that size doing just fine.

I also play in windowed mode so I can use my tools while I test. On my second monitor I usually have all my tools running, including GMAX.Yea no1 explain problems . I dunno but i have no lag/engine/error/gameplay problems at all and i am playing on fullHD resolution on max details with Disabled Dynamic Level of Detail.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

What generals are you playing? what is the host's skirmish game speed set at? what type/speed of internet connection do you both have? was there AI in game? What AI was it? do either you OR YOUR FRIEND lag in single player?
I was playing as infantry and my friend was playing as a US general I think(I can get more info if you like). I am not sure what the skirmish game speed is ( I was the host). The internet connection we have is fairly decent, in Canada we don't get great internet, but I don't think that it is the problem because we are able to play other games like supreme commander over hamachi. There was AI in game, it was assault general I believe and finally no, neither of us lag in single player.
Maybe, it's not helpful, but I am running windows 7 and my friend is running Vista.
Also, I would like to add that when I'm on the title screen. there is a bunch of pop in in the corners of the screen.

I honestly don't know. To figure those numbers out requires tools I don't have. I can say that your system should be a proper "gaming" system. A standard laptop for business use will have a very hard time running it.
Another way to look at it, what other games can this system play without any problem? Can you play borderlands? That's low end Gaming requirements.... Or can you play Crysis? high end.

Hi Pend, how canI run the game with 1920x1050 resolution or HD mode? I don't have those options in ZH.. All 4:3 resolutions only, not 16:9

There are a couple ways, but the easiest is to edit your shortcut. If you add "-xres 1920 -yres 1080" you game will use that resolution. You can add "-win" to make the game play in a window. My target line looks like this"
E:\Games\Generals\ZeroHour\Generals.exe -win -xres 1910 -yres 1040
This gives me a windowed game that fills my screen *almost* to the edges. I use two monitors, so this lets me web chat or use team speak etc, just by moving the mouse to the second screen and I don't even have to stop playing.
Keep in mind, if you are playing in full screen mode you must choose an XY resolution that is compatible with your screen or the game will crash on startup. If your install path has quotes around it, the arguments should be outside the quotes.

XResolution = 1920
YResolution = 1080
DrawEntireTerrain no/yes if enabled draw entire map>slow down pc(less fps) but if you use different camera height for example 700+ it remove black/not rendered textures terrain...
CameraHeight = 500.0 set default camera height
MaxCameraHeight = 500.0 700+ or so you need to enable drawentireterrain to work
MinCameraHeight = 10.0
CameraAdjustSpeed = 0.9
etc.
Dont change resolution in game menu it will reset resolution in big file and game.

Or you can use Big-editor (for example Final Big Editor 0.36 Utility) and edit !Remix_INI.Big
even easier, you can edit that same info in the settings INI in your my documents folder, but I still think the shortcut is the easiest and most reliable way. It also doesn't care if you play with the resolution in the options, it will still go back to your preference.

hi as soon as you build the super wepons gens ICBM your units (expt air) can no longer move at all it really ruins the super wepons gen
wow... I have never ever EVER heard of this bug. Silly question, are you sure it wasn't something else that caused that? Because there is no upgrade coming from the ICBM that effects the way units move, and I play with SupW general often.
did you maybe put so many defenses that units couldn't move out of your base anymore?? That's more believable, because I'm serious when I say theres nothing that connects the ICBM to unit movement. that's like saying you couldn't walk anymore because you cut your hair this morning.

It is the AI. Tank general causes the worst lag by far, Demo creates almost none. I figured out what was causing it and will be working hard to avoid it in future releases.
am.. not for this topic but, how (go round or by pass) limit on 120 (128?) upgrades in code please....

There is no true "by pass" but there is a trick. If you absolutely cannot make 128 upgrades fit the bill you can re-use upgrades on other generals. Now you have 128 possible upgrades for EACH general.
There are 2 catches. First, the upgrade cameos and text labels become meaningless. Second, you must make any structure capable of buying upgrades immune to capture.
There is a partial work around for both of these. You can create "Upgrade_Objects" that have a build limit 1 and grant the upgrade as soon as they are created. They have no art code, and use an immortalbody type. They are very similar to the code for a spy satellite, but they grant the upgrade, and never die. This has an added bonus because you can now use "Prerequisites" on the upgrade and they will correctly display when you mouse over it. A normal upgrade in ZeroHour could only be linked to a science, and would never tell you what science.
