I second Valaquenta's comment. A shame, there was so much potential in Thorin.
Wait... what?

The latest production video!!!

In my opinion, the dwarves look way better in this vid than in the pictures. I especially like Bombur^^
Enjoy it..

I actually really like Thorin. He seems to have this "get the job done and go home" attitude. Though he should have plusbeard.

And Orcrist....Meh...it looks like Sting but bigger.

This should be a good thing, considering that both Sting and Orcrist come from the same area/time period.

Really enjoyed the production video - lots of shots of the dwarves, you get to look a bit more into their personalities and styles. And the last part where the whole 'PJ is lost' thing comes together was brilliant (Don't want to spoil it so I won't say why).

Yeah, but It should be more similar to Glamdring than Sting.

I'm really excited to start doing new Dwarf models. Overly so...

Edit - is that even Orcrist? It looks Elven, but has Cirith runes on it, while Sting has Tengwar... I guess it's likely that at some point during the War of Dwarves and Orcs, the Dwarves made some edits.

Double edit - Ok, Glamdring has Cirith on it as well.

Dudes all the dwarfs look nice but they are very different from Gimli.I mean he was fullfty with armor and he had that ,,special'' figura of a brave dwarf.I see a dwarf i don't remember his name but he remaind my of OBELIX.
And Thorin, i don't read the book and i don't know if he it's a dwarf but i think he is.He really look like a ,,good corsair''.He look like Tristan knight fron the movie Arthur.
But it will be a great movie: : :shiftee2: :thumbsupsmiley: :thumbsupsmiley:
I can't wait to see how they made the Throne of Erebor with the Howard Shore symphony in that great hall

Well, if you want all to look like Gimli, or have the same armour, then you wouldn't be able to spot the difference between them :p
Yes, Thorin is a dwarf, and does look a tad like a Corsair.
Aye, I'm looking very much forward to the music!

I like the fact that the dwarves differ from Gimli. In most of the fantasy films dwarves always look the same. This different look gives them more personality. It simply isn't very realistic that every dwarf should have the same size, the same length of their beards, same armour, etc... Also this way, you can distinguish them better. If all of them would look very similar, you would confound them all the time.
But I've to agree that Bombur looks exactely like Obelix.
