New dev diary 2. About the musical score, mostly.
It seems that you were correct on your assumtion for the dwarves of the Iron Hills, Bashkuga. Too bad, they look so generic.

New releases from GW guys, though only for the good forces. The new models are mostly men from Lake-town. The faces of Alfrid en the Master of Lake-town gave me a good laugh.

"[There and Back Again] will be the last film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings and related works, as the Tolkien Estate has forbidden any more films from being made."
I know it may not be entirely true, coming from the lotr wiki page, but that's incredibly sad. :(

I don't see how that can be true, seeing as the Tolkien Estate does not own the rights to make films out of LotR and The Hobbit.

Maybe so, but the Tolkien Estate were looking for a court order for shutting down any further New Line Middle-Earthian stuff until they patched up that quarrel, so it's definitely possible...

I wonder if they dubbed the movie into Chinese, or just used subtitles. I think it would be hilarious to watch the movie with badly dubbed Chinese voices.

Why? Public voting like this is stupid, I've only seen the Hobbit and Star Trek among these movies, and neither are brilliant. And I'm pretty sure that most voters haven't seen them all, so the voting is super-biased. I want to see a few of the other ones of course, but I'm not spending a fortune to see them all at the cinema, so the voting system where "the only true winner wins because the public votes" is ridiculous. If the official Hobbit page on Facebook shares this, the Hobbit will win by a mile.
And Peter Jackson being nominated as "Best Director" for DoS is a joke. Seriously, is there no one else?

Unfortunately, both The World's End and the Wolf of Wall Street were far more enjoyable to me than the Hobbit.

Yeah, I enjoyed DoS quite a bit, but it fell a couple inches short for me in the end.

To me it wasn't so much 'this isn't in the book', it was more 'this isn't in the book and it's terribly written'.
