I really can't wait.
It would be amazing if EA made a bfme for the Hobbit :D
How long until it is in cinemas?

Having just watched the 6th Dev Video, it seems my hope is looking up; That the first movie will end with dwarves in barrels down the river. Just after Mirkwood, just before Esgaroth.

Saw it on Peter Jacksons Facebook page, I've got no link yet

I highly doubt so. Lord of the Rings games just haven't made enough money recently, I doubt EA will attempt another BFME.

The money factor is just the fact that no LotR movie has come out recently (about to change with the Hobbit).

I think its the fact that EA doesn't own the rights to produce LotR games any more.

Lets hope that the company that does have the rights will make an RTS that's easily moddable, and mappable. then we can continue as we were before.

Ask them to do it :xd:
But The Hobbit would have a license of it's own right?
So EA will proabably buy it IMO

Even if EA did, they'd probably jack it all up like they did with BFME2 and ROTWK. I don't want to see another hack-job BFME game.

BFME 3......
They'll probably kill the game even more :xd:
But I remember the Hobbit game by Sierra, that was fun :p
But with the Hobbit, there isn't as much conflict as LotR tbh

Exactly, can't really see a Hobbit game fit the RTS theme.. Perhaps another action-adventure game, in the style of TT & RotK, albeit I'm not certain that'd work.. Playing as Bilbo, there aren't too much action.. And we've already got the other Hobbit game.

Probably will just be a rip-off of Sierra's game?

That Hobbit game was amazing.

It took me 3 years to solve the water problem in the Dwarf kindom (third last mission I think).

I loved how they created Hobbiton. First mission was my favourite. And I hated those poisionous spiders!

Maybe EA can renew the lisence, but I can't see a game coming out before all the characters are shown in the 2 films so a 2014 january release?

WB Games won't sit on their hands and they're unlikely to sell the licence back to EA because the rights will be hugely profitable.
Chances are there is no LOTR RTS game unless they lease the licence out.
I would love to see a second War of the Ring game but Liquid are out of the RTS market (No Battle Realms 2  ).
Another action-adventure game (or 2) is the obvious bet maybe even another War in the North game.
I wouldn't count on an RPG either since LOTRO is a thing.
