Ok So I download this which supposedly is to fix the forged blades and fire arrow problem...

http://www.the3rdage...tem-394?addview

after I upgrade to the fire arrows on the archery range and then click on a unit it says "cannot recieve upgrade".

? It's the exact same code as a Gondor Soldier.

Perhaps the horde files does not have the statusbitupgrade?
Behavior = StatusBitsUpgrade ModuleTag_ProductionLegality
  TriggeredBy = Upgrade_ElvenSilverthornArrows
End

Yeah, I'm very sure, like the ini says they should be able to have the upgrade :\

the only change apart from health, build time, cost and string files was

Model = GUNumnArch_SKN; from GUArcher_SKN

There are two different upgrades here; One is a leftover from the campaign in BFME1 (I think) and cost only 200. The other costs the default (what, 500? or maybe more...)

Ok hi all... (I will show a photo in a minute)...

I made my galadhrim warriors ect... They can now purchase Silverthron arrows and shoot them (yay)... BUT! on their bow it shows fire arrow not silverthorn arrow? Looks weird, and i've looked through the code, the weaponset upgrade is the mirkwood silverthorn arrow.

is it because the model is only suppose to show fire arrows?, is there an FX way around it?

You need to hide the firetip or something like that, which is a sub-model part of the whole model, then perhaps with an fx u can add another effect.

Hmmm ok, FX will be doable, I've forgotten how to do a lot of it though :(

First step is to not show the fire arrows EVER

so remove this codes

; Switch arrows being displayed.
Behavior = SubObjectsUpgrade ModuleTag_FireArrowSwapUpgrade
  TriggeredBy  = Upgrade_GondorFireArrows ; ;Upgrade_RohanFireArrows
  ShowSubObjects = FireArowTip
End
These cuase the fire arrow tips to be shown .

Then you want a silvertorn arrow FX ..
You will have to tweak FX's until you get one you like
; --------- With Fire arrows Upgrade  ------------
  ModelConditionState	= WEAPONSET_PLAYER_UPGRADE USER_4
   Model	  = RUElfWar_SKN
   Skeleton	 = RUElfWar_SKL
   WeaponLaunchBone   = PRIMARY ARROW
   WeaponLaunchBone = SECONDARY ARROWNOCK ; when upgraded to flaming arrow
   ParticleSysBone	= FireArowTip ANewFX FollowBone:Yes

  End

Try ParticleSysBone = FireArowTip RingWraithFlare FollowBone:Yes

or create your own Fx

PS ensure they get USER_4 when given the upgrade

; Fire arrow upgrade
Behavior = WeaponSetUpgrade ModuleTag_WeaponSetUpgradeTag
  TriggeredBy = Upgrade_ElvenSilverthornArrows
  CustomAnimAndDuration   = AnimState:USER_4 AnimTime:0 TriggerTime:0 ;set flag forever
End

...I would have just let them use fire arrows as that's what they have as sub-objects ...but that's just me

It's outright silly to have the fire arrows visible when they don't shoot fire arrows, but Silverthron arrows. You fool the player.

I agree ... I mean if a model of had fire arrow sub objects .. I would let them use Fire Arrows Not silvertorn Arrows
