feels like Dota, the cars can be like Invoker with the abilities

I've been busy with things, need to finish my minecraft server.
recently picked up a position to manage/design a minecraft server to deal with large masses
I'm actually in need of people who can design/create arena's in creative mode for one of my maps, once thats done, i'll be able to move back with Revora while advertising the mine-craft server, and maybe implement some sort of economy system so people can donate and earn rewards on the server

If you have a real job with Minecraft, that's actually something you can storm ideas for our Minecraft section for.  It is in need of... stuff.

And calling these cards 'upgrades' or 'gear' is just the same.  Cards are just more appealing.  And does it feel like DOTA?  Because it is in no way a MOBA since we're talking about racing with cards in the mix.

Or you can look it up for me.  But in all honesty, is there really a genera this game perfectly fits into?  There are games like Bo mentioned that use cards with stat bases, and there are games like Magic, Scrolls, and Blood Brothers that are use cards for versus situations and in-game support.... but nothing really that has vehicle customization mixed with CCG and kart racing with CCG.  We may have a new brand of game on our hands... or one that sure does bring a lot of intrigue to a very rarely used genera.

I thought this project was dead.

If you are talking about customising a kart why not just add a cart builder mode so players make their own kart.

You'll need a part-time coder to do the basic cart racing setup. To do anything rather fancy like this, you'll need somebody more permanent. I suggest looking into that more before going crazy with ideas and cards and stuff.

Seriously though, Unity scripting could not be simpler to learn, compared to other suites. Why don't one of you ideas people use this game as a learning experience.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

That's why I wanted us to make a foundation for the game with working karts and good concept art so we can advertise to kick starter and use the funds raised to hire people for the job.  We may be able to get out of Unity this way, if Unity limits what we're designing.
