GLA Airfield selection bug is known to us. We'll try to reproduce the thing with Efreet and tunnels.

tried it this morning never managed to happen again.. today always the tunnel receaves the damage and got damaged/destroyed

 

If the tunnel was owned by AI, it's likely that the AI evacuated all units out of the tunnel before the explosion destroyed them. AI usually does it when an enemy is detected nearby. And you know that there's a small delay before the nuke destroys everything around. Efreet gets visible immediately after detonation has started, and that's before destruction happens.

 

no it was my tunnel. i'm not AI :)

This beta 2 release is very good, but I noticed something weird and it did not happen in beta 1.

 

1. After 15 min of the game approximately in the Multiplayer, it always shows mismatch error in everything map. We tried everything, but nothing halped. 

 

We renamed scripts folder in scripts1 like you say, but problem is the same. I have win 7 (64 bit), but I run game in compatibility mode for win xp service pack 3 and everything ok. Sometimes it breaks in skirmish game, but rarely. Me and my friends launch multiplayer with gameranger program and before it works ok.

 

Do you have any suggestions or fixes for this?

 

Contra is incredible and the best mode ever, thank you very much for your effort!

i found a small bug

 

I was playing againt the Ai yesterday,

me Airforce gen, Insane Ai nuke gen

I had 2 Pave lows who were attacking their command center, and a gattling tank kept firing at one of my pave lows, which had low Hp (about 15%), however the gattling tank didn't do any damage to my Pave low.

It didn't appear so often in previous version beta1 and any other version, there appears always on the same time. It must been something with this version. Maybe win 7 make a problem? It's interesting that skirmish now is more stable then multiplayer. How it can be possible that EA Games didn't make patch for this stupid missmatch, because this is an epic game, I don't understand why?  :?:  :flame:

If you see mismatch problems or AI disfunction, try to "install" the Net Fix and AI Fix in the correct folders; like with Contra 007. It will perhaps solve your problems with any mismatches. I do not guarantee, that it works always, nor that there never will be mismatch again, but 90% of the games I played with the fixes (in the 008 Beta2 version) there wasn't any multiplayer problem. I played with my friends a 2v2 several times, and only once happened the mismatch problem.

Hello everyone. Thank you for Beta 2 release.

 

I got some feedback.

 

Scorpion Tank, Rebel Bike. Mortar Buggy and Alshain has no lights when on night/rain maps.

Radar Van and Pickup Truck has very weak lights.

Dana cameos looks like a photo.

I hope Grenade Launcher type Dragon Tank will be back as Mongoose was removed.

Phobos is too big compared with other rank one robots. Its bigger than AMOS.

Flame and Nuclear Battle Master Tanks' turret is too dark. It needs to be lighter.

China regular and fortified bunker, when garrisoned, has four lines around them. One is missing near the bunker entrance.

I still don't understand why Inferno Cannon has regular shells, which is effective vs Infantry and buildings, and Thermobaric shells, which is effective vs everything? Once the upgrade is purchased, you can switch to Thermobaric shells and doesn't need to switch back because the regular shells are useless.

When selecting Neutral vehicles there is a Suicide Bomber cameo.

Toxin Truck - I can see enemy firing slowly but can you make a debuff icon so I can see which infantry is affecting. I'm not sure the description that the debuff applies on enemy infantry when the toxin tractor attacks or kills an infantry.

Worker Biker - Bike and Worker model position is awkward.

Stinger Biker has something on the right side of the bike but there's nothing in its cameo.

All bikes names are Combat Cycle when hovered on them.

BTR-50 Driller has a name called Driller then the mouse cursor hovers on it.

The Driller drills holes in the direction that is different than what I ordered.

Shandian jumps when exiting the factory.

I think USA needs an AA infantry. Could you make one or upgrade Missile Defenders to attack air units?

AA pick up Truck has some pause (reload) when firing.Did you make it to do so?

Salvage Drop - doesn't drop from destroyed vehicles when destroyed by my base defense.

When I ordered the Builder Bike to build a structure that is far from its position with cliffs up ahead, the bike ignores the cliff.

Gatling Troop Crawler gets destroyed easily by air attacks. Are you sure that you make all air units deal less damage vs AA units, as it was written in changelog?

As Minigunner can upgrade early from barracks, whats the role of training Red Arrows? Could you make stronger and move it to rank 3? (Super Red Arrow - stealth and reveals stealth air units)

In Generals Challenge, Air Force General can attack with long range bombers without other units to scout. Is he using spy drone, scans or anything else? Even he can pinpoint Attack Outposts with AA infantry with ease before the Outposts reveal itself. Hard to defend from his attacks even with Fortified Bunkers, ECMs, speaker towers, Gatling Troop Crawlers and Suan Nis. Even though I shoot down many planes and helicopters, he recovers very quickly than I do. I try to attack with AA escort but taken heavy casualties and difficult to destroy his base.

i cant play the laser mission 9

it imidiatly crashes the game with " you have encountered a serious error. ......"

also if i try to load the automaticaly created savegame

Which win do you have? I know for this fixes, I already have it, it helped in win xp a little, but when I installed win 7, always start missmatch on about 15. min on the game in network, when I played with my friends. I set win xp sp3 compatibility mode, but it doesn't help. Do you think that may be problem with incompatibility with win 7?

colossus (airforce defens) dont need power? i can build many with only one powerplant

 

the challenge vs laser (i play airforce) is still not solvable? i deytroyed everything but i did not win ..

same for robots mission 5? vs airforce. after some playing i get serious error.. i tried to find whats happening but i didnt. now i have a savegame 1 sec befor it crashes. will it help if i provide this savegames?

and also SW vs airforce but here i dont have savegame

not always. with laser somehow I managed to win the challange but not without problems.. but i have about 10 savegames from this :)

superweapons general's colonel burton: the skill power disabler device got a limit of 10 instead of 1 as said on the tooltip.

About the tech stealing, I already made my own version of it. I think it maybe a better solution, than just having the enemy's units (some cases it is useless to have: mirror match for example). Instead of it, when you steal the technology, you may get various global buffs for your army (like Strategy Center's buffs). The buff depends on the enemy's faction. 

USA SW Gen: -15% Super Weapons and Special abilities cooldown

USA AF Gen: +15% AA range

USA Laser Gen: +10% build speed (buildings and units)

USA Cyber Gen: +10% movement speed

China Tank Gen: +10% armor bonus

China Nuke Gen: +10% firepower (except super weapons)

China Infantry Gen: -15% damage from infantry fire

China Flame Gen: +10% range for units and defences

GLA Poison Gen: -15% damage from toxins, acids, dust clouds

GLA Explosives Gen: -15% damage from explosions

GLA Stealth Gen: stealth detectors gain +15% range

GLA Assault Gen: -10% unit cost

 

How to steal? May the basic soldiers capture the enemy's specific building applies you the global buff. You may trigger it once, so the destruction of the specific building doesn't mean, that you lose the global buff (specific buildings can be: Command Center, Strategy/Palace/Tech Center, Super Weapons).

that is harder than creating a mod, as far as i can tell based on the structure of the game. the only easy part is the -10% unit cost XD

Hello.

Why there's no reply to my previous post?

 

I found most units have no headlights in night maps.

When I captured the reinforcement pad as Infantry General, four minigunners and three tank hunters reinforce.

Why three tank hunters not four?

Sometimes infantry inside transports that can fire from inside don't fire at enemy units when comes into range.

When enemy unit comes into the Antares' Energy Shield dome, its attacks wasn't blocked and destroyed my units inside.

Some units from toxin general has no neutralizers upgrade icon.

Sometimes the enemy doesn't sell buildings after all unit producing structures are destroyed, so i need to find and destroy all remaining buildings to achieve victory.

 

New Unit: Greater Tomahawk.

Rank three unit that carries three Tomahawk missiles.

It has long range with decent damage but reloads very slowly, missiles fly very slowly and the missiles can be shot down with one shot of AA.

About SW Gen's AI:  

       It seems that she can only build barracks,reator and supply depot and somepatriots.  She doesn't build supply drop pad, tomahaw storm and so on even she get rank 3 and  a lot of money. I used original AI scripts and 007's AI scripts , and the problem is all the same.  Other gen's AI seems better than hers.

       Would you please fix it?

Sorry for not replying to anyone lately. Don't worry, all your posts are being read. Treble: Some of your reports are intentional (I will probably talk about each one when I have more time), others are bugs. About AI: Lil Tasman is working on AI from scratch (from the beginning). There are many bugs in comparison to 007, for which he doesn't see the reason.
