I thought about it too, but the thing is, the soundtrack is a .zip file.
(unless it's a 7z format disguised as zip )

Fixed the previous problem, but now I am unable to start the game up because of the "FATAL ERROR String Manager failed to initialize properly" problem.

 

.NET 3.5 is installed as well as an up-to-date version of 4.0.

I have installed Mental Omega 3.0 after i opened it this shows up

You didn't installed MO into your RA2 folder, abaudkieidn.

 

Reisjin, try admin mode on cncnet, gamemo and syringe.

Help guys.

I can't load a launcher, I tried it so many times but no, it doesn't load.

It has always encountered a problem and needs to close. Any fix to this?

It says "unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application". I have installed everything required and it still doesn't works. All other YR mods and the original game work properely. By the way, the same error occurs with the mod C&C Reloaded, but early there was no problem.

Good day, I have made an account to tell of a simple fix for the "Fatal String Manager initilization" issue.

 

I've always thought, that it's about the programs permissions, so I tested, if deactivating the UAC, User Account Control, is doing anything.

 

What did it do? It worked. Simple fix, but comes in with less security.

 

I tested using admin rights, it simply never helped. Every .exe I found, I put a permission on, never did anything for me. I tried it with Yuri's Revenge, too, just to see,

as soon as I put the admin rights onto the .exe, it DID NOT work anymore!

 

I am on windows 7, just to add this. Logs never seemed to do anything bad or wrong, though of course I'm none of the devs.

Hm, thank you. Quite interesting, because I, personally, turned UAC off since day 1 of my Windows but never thought of it as a reason of this issue. We'll keep this in mind.

I just recently bought the "Ultimate Collection" (digital download version), and I am attempting to downloading Mental Omega 3.0 (or whatever the lastest version is) to the "UC" version of RA2/ Yuri's Revenge, but I keep coming across this http://forums.revora...-1398526334.png . I'm using Windows 7 on an HP Pavillion G6 laptop. Can I get help on what to do? I'm not sure how to download it to the RA2 folder.

You did not install it at Red Alert 2 & Yuri's Revenge real location.

Is the real location the launcher for RA2/Yuri's Revenge? If not, then do you know what it is? I have all the games from the collection grouped into one folder on my desktop.

Find the directory which has the gamemd.exe file in it.
