It was an odd day that Volkov, Chitzkoi, Yunru and Morales had to work together. Volkov was free, utterly murdering his foes with an unquenchable battle glee, whilst Chitzkoi unleashed his rage like the devil made manifest.
Morales and Yunru decided to plan out an ambush with some Engineers; Yunru would disable some Cavaliers, Morales would kill the drivers, whilst the Engineers took them over.
There was something... off about the other commandos, so thought the girl. Volkov was... a raving psychopath through action and thought, whilst Morales seemed to have a charismatic flair despite being half as insane as the Butcher... Much like some actors in a theatre she watched during the Chinese's cooperation with the Pacific Front. What was the term the soldiers used? A large ham? Yeah, that was it. Morales was a ham the size of New York, and he installed a microphone onto his sniper rifle so that he could share this talent to his enemies. Fortunately, his foes only have seconds before they either incinerate from being in the crossfire or having their brains blasted out before they could tell where he was.
Morales shot a tank, and spouted out a quote. "I miss my girl... BUT I WON'T MISS YOU!"
Yunru paused for a brief moment. He had a life other than the death squad? This got her curious, as she never thought as soldiers as being anything less than committed to the fight or otherwise distracted.
When the mission was successful, Morales shot the pair of tranquilizer darts needed to put Volkov and Chitzkoi to sleep and they proceeded to the assigned Borrilo for evacuation. After Volkov was recovered, Yunru finally asked the sniper about that thing that was bugging her. Morales chuckled, and proceeded with his tale.
Years before joining up with the death squad, he met an American girl. She had spunk, and a competitive attitude. And much like him, she was a firearms expert. Each time they went to the firing range, they'd blast all the targets in sight, before anyone so much as had a chance to blink. Eventually, the relation ended on a sour note, both of them had work to do. Morales began his work as an assassin, and the girl was never seen again... That is, until World War III. Morales saw his girl, and his girl saw him. He was Soviet and she was Allied. No matter how long the battle lasted, neither soldier were able to even get a scratch on the other, whether it be due to reflexes or due to hesitation on both soldiers' parts. Eventually, they had to part, considering they both had objectives to complete.
Yunru looked at Morales, who seemed to lose a bit of his flair and gained a bit more sorrowful mood. Fortunately, it was at this time Yunru had to depart from the transport.
It was then that Morales pulled out a photo and sighed.
"She's the best there is, that Tanya."
