"To know what question we may reasonably propose is in itself a strong evidence of sagacity or intelligence. For if a question be in itself incongruous and begs for uncalled-for answers, it holds, sometimes, besides embarrassing the proposer, the disadvantage to seduce the unguarded listener into giving absurd answers, and we are presented with the ridiculous spectacle of one (as the ancients said) milking the he-goat, and the other holding a sieve beneath."

Hello Forum,

I have attempted to install the t3a online launcher for bfme 2 special edition.

Have attempted in many different ways and with many different methods (disabling norton 360, making exceptions in firewall, etc.)

Nothing has yet yielded any result, the installation of the t3a online installer has always ended prematurely with an error.

The Log requested has been inserted under the spoiler tag for I do not know where to add a file attachement.

Hopefully you guys know what's going on and how to fix it.

Thanks in advance,

Floeschman

I would suspect you should also try http://forums.revora...-10#entry993096

Hey, did you try the solution I posted above?

I'll have a look at your logfile as soon as possible, I just can't see much on a mobile at the moment ;)

Is you bfme 2 install location 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\II\'?

If so, what an odd install location :p

ICT, from what i see there is an error when copying/renaming the lotrbfme2.lcf file :) "CAQuietExec:  The system cannot find the path specified."

Then the archive I linked above should help.

Did you use any cracks? Install the original game and use mini images (http://goo.gl/1ptFyu) that you mount with daemon tools lite.

You could also try step 10 http://forshire.blog...ad-bfme-ii.html

The death at 3 minutes is due to the game2.dat being incorrect, so its either reinstalling or possibly fixing it (via the link above yea) :p

Went to download today and realized this is a PC download. Is there any way for a MAC user to download the software?

No, unfortunately it is not usable via MAC. You could try a virtual machine to emulate windows if that works.

Can't install the game correctly, when I have it installed and try to start the game it says that there is no CD even though I do have the mini images.

When I mount the mini images and try to run it, it says the mounted cd is corrupted/not able to use on my version of windows even though I'm running on a 64-bit windows 7.

If I do some weird stuff it will eventually let me boot with the normal install cd, but when I try to join lobbys it says I have the wrong version of bfme2.

So I then tried to install the patch switcher, and switched to the patch the other people were playing on. After that it again said I needed a cd to start the game.

Hey, which program are you using to mount the images? If it is Daemon Tools, make sure to try http://forums.revora...images-mounted/

Also, don't try weird stuff ;). Make sure to run as admin and with/without compability mode (try both).

I am indeed using Daemon Tools and tried what you've said but it still doesn't quite work. I'm going to try something else now, if it still fails to work I'll post again.
