So I get told off for almost saying the books were dry, and get immediately informed that I'm not actually wrong.

I dunno anything about these books, but you're making it sound like The Wheel of Time is one of the books.

Oh, well what's that wheel book got anything to do with anything? Neh. I'll stick with Lovecraft and Adams regardless.

Inigo Montoya Oberyn Martell was such a great character.
Awesome fight.

I knew he was going to die, but I didn't remember it being so... violent. Apparently it does happen more or less the same in the book, but it's easy to forget such graphic details when read.
The TV version, I won't soon forget

Just got caught up on the last 3 episodes. It's weird... been enjoying the King's Landing scenes more and the hooky-dooky Middle-Eastern stuff with Dragon mom infinitely less. It's been boring there. But King's Landing with the trial had quite a few good moments. That whore skank bint lady came back when I was promised otherwise... upset about that. But yea, been getting a bit better. The wall is still boring, as well as this Iron Born stuff. But actually, the scene at the Iron Bank was really good. Some people may not put it on their radars, but it was very nice dialogue and ascetic architectural designs there. I want more scenes there.
And the battle with pervert boy and my favorite character, Sir Horse Decapitator, was amazing. I was about to throw my mug at my dog out of pure rage, but then Mr. Mountain didn't disappoint with a good ol' fashion skull crush. And that pervert midget guy gets to die now. Win, win, win.

Last night's episode actually made the wall interesting for once. Quite like the designs of the giants and mammoths, even though it looked like the Wildlings got their reinforcements from Skyrim. But Jon Snow back out in the wilderness sounds about as boring as it was last time. And it was pretty stinking boring.

Not really a spoiler if it sounds like gibberish to people who don't understand what it means.

I thought so, but the internet couldn't tell me, and I wasn't sure how well-known the name Dennis the Menace actually is. For me it's just a name in my head, without any real associationWell yes, that is the pun.

I found the last episode a bit disappointing. Deviating from the books for theatrical reasons is fine, but this fight was actually a lot better in the books. Both sides threw a lot more force(s) into it and the sense of danger was way more present.
