#1101237 Mordor Faction Plan

Posted by OdoProudfoot on 06 June 2019 - 09:07 PM

Ideas for post Dol Guldur Mordor

Dol Guldur dungeon is replaced by the Bastion/Tower of Cirith Ungol

Shelob's summon is moved to it and replaced by a Morgul beacon, which grants bonuses to the Nazgûl/let's you recruit the other Nazgûl/does some other thing

From the Tower of Cirith Ungol you can recruit Gorbag, which replace's Gothmog as a damage dealer. Design cue: overseer skl.

Maybe you can recruit Shelob's spawn from it, maybe black orcs as well

Maybe a new easterling captain to inherit the leadership powers from Khamul

#1083795 Misty Mountains Faction Plan

When the changes to the faction were announced on Discord, I mentioned the lack of an archer hero. Considering the comment that there could still be changes to the hero roster, I tried to adress it with a proposal for a new one:
He would have a mechanic similar to the Edains' Aranarth one. (http://edain.wikia.com/wiki/Aranarth). At level 7 you can chose one of two options.

Narzug (or some other orcish name). Appearance: a mountain-orc with adorns that show his prowess in battle.

Description: A mountain-orc that became chief of a small tribe by savagely destroying his contenders, but proved to be a smart leader with stealthy tactics.
Rank 1: Sword/Bow Toggle

Rank 1: Quick and quiet, no screams
Causes nearby mountain-orcs to be invisible near trees (or while standing still, unless that's too OP)

Rank 5: Mountain Kindred
Leadership to mountain-orcs.

Rank 7: My Blood
Narzug choses to fight for the unification of the mountain-orcs.

Rank 7: Their Blood
Narzug choses to fill the ranks of the Gundabad Berzerkers, giving in for his crave for human, elvish and dwarvish blood. This replaces My Blood and Their Blood.

________________________
If "My Blood" is chosen

Mountain Kindred's leadership is increased.

Level 7: Stealthy shot. Replaces My Blood.
Active: Narzug fires and arrow, causing good damage and crippling the target.
Passive: Allows Mountain-orc scouts to use Barbed Arrow Shot ability (currently available to Gundabad Archers).

________________________
If "Their Blood" is chosen
Level 1: Recruit (replaces Sword/Bow Toggle)
Passive: Narzug wears Gundabad armor and lays down his weapons for a berzerker scimitar, gaining increased stats.

Level 5: Bloodthirst (replaces Mountain Kindred)
With each consecutive strike, Narzug's attack increases.

Level 7: Berzerker (replaces Their Blood).
Acitve: For a short while, Narzug gains 150% damage, -50% armor.
Alternative: Passive: Narzug attacks now knock back units, and he cannot be knocked down.

#1073052 General Questions & Suggestions Thread

I know you guys are probably very busy with Erebor right now, but I had a few ideas I would like to share:

-Make orcs summoned from "drums in the deep" climb out of the fortress, just like they climb down the pillars of moria on FotR (not sure if possible).

-Change Saruman's "Voice of Curunir" (I might have confused the name... the one that gives experience) power to have a smaller radius, but also brand units with "The White Hand of Saruman" giving them improved attributes.

-Give another use to Azog's "Headhunter" ability, allowing it to be used on Misty Mountains's fortress. The power adorns the building with the signaling device used on BOTFA, which would grant the fortress a new ability. When activated, it increases the speed of all orcs on the map for a period of time (and uses that cool horn).

I'm having a busy week, but I think I'll finish cutting AUJ this weekend and upload everything (including what is already on 4shared and some more of BotFA I cut after uploading) to mega by sunday night.

Did you find it, Mathijs?
I think tomorrow I'll finish cutting all BotFA usable lines.
