Well that's a voiceover from another game, I wouldn't really care about it tbh. The native Foehn voiceovers are great though.

Wait, it is? I thought every unit's voice is unique.

Did you ever play C&C4? Plenty of MO voices are from there. Not sure about Zorb guys though, and the Buzzard is C&C3 Venom (if memory serves me right) with some pitch/tone/whatever editing, same for Warturtle.

Well, the sodar unit sounded eerily similar to the Starcraft Terran Dropship...

I guess they are placeholders until they have proper VA.

Also, yes, I played C&C4 once, and I'm still trying to forget that it exists. :V

Really? They don't really sound similar.

MO does still have some stolen voices though :

- Jaguar Tank apparently took General's GLA's toxic tractor voice (I think)

- Drakuv has General's Chinese prisoner truck

- I think there is some others but only a few

IIRC, the Jaguar Tank uses a cut voiceset that was supposed to be used by Generals' GLA Rocket Buggy, Foehn's Leviathan uses the voiceset of the one on CnC4 and the Driller use the voiceset of the Reckoner.

Huuuh... I looked at the old 3.0 voice list file, and those units are really missing a section there. I guess it's true then.

The sonic tank reused the Basswave VO from 3.0, right? Doesn't seem to be fitting anymore now that it is so powerful. Hope it get replaced.

What i know is Shadow Tank have some voiceover from Generals' Chinese Helix, and Basilisk have similar voice with.... Basilisk from C&C4 (i think)

Back then i found 3.0 voice file and find out where some unit voices come or inspired from

Shadow tanks has its own voiceover, the lines are similar because in 2.0 stealth tank used Helix' VO. And yes, Basilisk was intended to sound like C&C4 Basilisk. Though Salamander now sounds even more similar to C&C4 Basilisk than the Basilisk itself, lol

I'm curious where is the Dybbuk-Attacker's voiceover from.

By the way, recently I've managed to use the Iron Dragon, and it was one of the best stolen tech units in my opinion; its particle cannon can quickly destroy anything in its way (though not as quick on structures) and even it can make nearby vehicles invulnerable when destroyed. Too bad it has a very large minimum range (half of its maximum range), though its range was still long nonetheless.

Other best stolen tech units in my opinion includes Chrono Prison, Grumble and Phantasm MLRS.

On the subject of voices, while Eureka is very cute she might be stepping on Tanya's toes as the hot-blooded one of the waifu heroes.

The Salamander is a wonderful thing too, it's a great defense against Kirov / Pteranodon / Quetzal spam, and it holds it own even against things like the Thor Gunship and Alanqua Skystation (not in 1v1 tho). It's as fast as a concrete bunker, but its function is the same, AA and anti-tank area denial. It's a great defensive weapon. And on top of all these, its voice set is badass too.

Scavenger + Gharial seems to be making a bigger version of Scavenger's original weapon and has chance of disintegrating kill-able drivers inside a unit, while damaging the said unit. (the most interesting so far)

Scavenger + Abrams creates mini Tanya that can shoot both ground and air units.

Scavenger + ???? creates double-barreled anti-armor cannon. (I think it was Harvesters)

Scavenger + Mastodon creates no-charging mini Mastodon.

Scavenger + ???? create single barreled cannon. (I think some cannon-mounted basic tanks)

Scavenger + ???? creates heavy machine guns that scatter on longer distance but focused on shorter distance. (I think IFV/Archon, but maybe other tanks too)

I feel like we need a list on Scavenger combos findings (too bad enemy AI won't use stolen tech units after they infiltrated our lab...)

The Sodar is the GDI Spanner I think.

The mission called "Golden gate" sort of ended in a way that implied a continuation. Can we expect a revisit to San Francisco?

You bet.
I think they will have their own turn on the timemachine from vanilla YR but instead Foehn revolt will appear just like the scrin in c&c3(except from the future than space). I bet it's gonna be San Francisco, but sadly i guess only one side will explore it. My rant that it will be on the epsilon's mission list due to how they swapped Allies and soviets in act 1 with their first mission.

I'm pretty fine if they rework some of the original yr/ra2 campaign scenarios and re-purpose them for their own storyline.

Can anyone ever land the Duplicant and let it do its thing? Its gimmick is very cool but in practice it's a whole lot harder to pull it off.
