I've put my best efforts talking to both parties trying to find a solution, i think inca's is the most logical ive seen, even if it sounds crazy to you revora guys if he were to be unbanned he has no reason to continue creating accounts and borrowing others accounts which will only result in one less active player on the server which is a real shame. The bans you've given him does nothing he will just keep making accounts and continue to borrow accounts the community is literally self destructing because both parties have ego's and want to send a message to eachother, put that aside and do whats best for the community already ffs.

For both parties sake and the communities this would be the most positive solution i can think of.

There is absolutely no guarantee of that. Besides, that would essentially be giving him amnesty just for the sake of it, and that would make a precedent that would lead to cheaters doing the same thing just to get it their way.

We have no basis upon which to believe that. His ban stays and the entire C&C:Online staff (Revora and GameReplays) agrees on that. If you want to stop him from playing with others through dupes, you might as well convince the clique he almost always plays 2v2s with to refuse playing with him for once, so he'll have nobody to do it with.

lets look at it from this viewpoint:

 

Option A

Remove ban and allow some time for him to be on good behavior and offer some form of redemption.

Let's see if he actually makes a concerted effort to change his stance on every action he has wronged you in the past..and actually cease his "toxic" behavior(pun intended)

If this option don't work and he continues his behavior then just Ban him again and return to the current state as is.

 

Option B

Keep the Ban in Place,  He will circumvent this ban, still play with temporary accounts when ever he wants.

And disrupt events and get another Player Banned due to his smurfing and using someone else account.

We lose another player in the community(whether they care or not one less player is still one less body ) and gz just still continue doing what he has done prior..and still maintain his malicious behavior

 

I will repeat it again..I am not a loyalist or follower of gz...

 

 

I am just looking for the best OPTION possible for the community..

 

Yes OPTION A will mean you guys will sort of have admitted defeat, have your reputation lowered and make a HUGE concession for the good of this community....And I can only imagine how hard that can be.

 

But for us..me and the kw community this can be the best option...and like i said ..if it don't work out..

If gz returns to his old ways....then Re-Ban him and go back to the cycle of him sabotaging the servers anyway.

 

 

Option B sounds good in theory but hey lets be honest here..a BAN is useless if one can circumvent it and go around it...which he shown he is capable of doing

option B would be great if you guys can actually enforce the "ban" in the first place.

But since you guys have not figured that out yet, we will still have this parasite causing havoc and chaos as you guys put it.

 

 

 

I feel what do you really have to lose with OPTION A..

if it don't work out..his behavior does not change, Re-Ban him and we just go back to Option B which is the current state right now

 

Let his actions speak for it self..I find it hard to see gz doing anything disruptive or making any accounts if he has his original account and his stats and precious level  87 badge.

I have a level 87 badge..which i did not get legally since my account was loaned out in my clan (don't worry this was in gamespy days..before revora..don't ban me please)

but it seems for players on this servers...go crazy for this level and shiny badge.. I for one feel i never deserved mine since my account like 82 i think when i returned to kw..hence i play under my smiley face <('.'<)

You guys have no idea how important stats and rank are to these players..or maybe you have some idea but trust me gz is definitely one to enjoy his prestemed badge and stats..unlike me..

You can put negative 5 wins and 27,000 losses by name and i would care less..but players like gz definitely values his numbers as do other players..

 

 

Hey to each their own I guess...stats and rank or level never mattered to me but trust me, YOU have no idea how important these trinkets are of value to players like gz and others..

 

Put him on some sort of probation period..at least him try to redeem himself.

 

The problem with you guys is that gz's  words and ego get in the way of this ...and you guys fail to see beyond that and take what he says and do at a surface level..

 

of course this is purely all in theory...if gz were to get his account back...act like a prick and still continue  his "toxic" behavior then by all means Re-ban him and just try to deal with him as best possible..

 

 

Once again..I am looking for the best option for this community..not the best option for gz and definitely NOT the best option for you guys since you have to take great concessions in lifting and removing that ban.

 

Gz is not a hacker or cheater..he is not using map hacks or money hacks or that nonsense..so from that perspective you should not have nothing to worry about..

Only cheating doesn't get you banned, where'd you get that logic from, only because hacking is the most popular reason to get banned for, doesn't mean it's the only option.

The impression I get is that he is not to be unbanned. I respect that decision and its not without merit, although the circumstances of his initial ban may have been unjust, he has a done a lot of damage over the last 18 months and squandered the chances that revora have given him.

See, that's the thing: they weren't unjust from the evidence we have viewed. And even if they were (which they conclusively were not) - that 'initial ban', which was nothing more than a ban from Gamereplays events, not the server, Gamespy or C&C:Online, is completely unrelated to the reason he is permabanned entirely now. He was banned for thoroughly abusing our staff and heavily wasting our time and resources. He knows that as well as we do. I've outlined all of this in this thread already, so I won't do it again.

If you have the time and skill required to consistently escape prison and the judge decides to just let you go, this creates a precedent where people that break the rules and know how to circumvent the punishment (remember, Green_ZERO works at an ISP company) are treated unfairly compared to those who don't have that knowledge. We don't do special treatment. You either treat everyone equally and stick to justly given bans, or you get rid of all rules altogether and let the community suffer under the consequences of that decision.

 

It's the same thing when it comes to cheats: people will always manage to find new cheats or sneak old ones in. According to you, this means we should give up on banning cheats and just allow everything. Athletes get caught with doping in their system every year, despite stricter and stricter regulations. Should they just be allowed to use whatever they want, then? I don't think so, because this way you erode a standard that is inherently good: 'no cheats allowed', 'no performance enhancing drugs allowed', and 'no continuous disruption of events and flaming of community members allowed'. Green_ZERO has shown us he will continue to behave the way he does regardless of his ban, so we may as well stick with our position so that other toxic elements that aren't as good at bypassing bans can still be punished by a fair and solid standard.

 

We refuse to cave in to this pathological bully and liar, because if we did, we'd lose more credibility than he could ever chip away from under us with his terrible videos. We'll continue working on our prevention methods and further developing the server regardless of his bullshit.
