Well, we can deduce it takes place before Dance of Blood, since Power Hunger runs concurrent to it. Which means takes place either just before Lizard Brain or just after it. If it takes place before Lizard Brain, then it would happen right after Bottleneck, which would mean that the Paradox Engine would have just begun its rampage. However, the Soviets are entirely unaware, and presumably unconcerned, with the affairs of the Allies at the moment, considering up until the events of Juggernaut, the Soviets are more concerned with regaining their footing and dealing with Yuri.

It surely takes place before Metaphor and some time after Memory Dealer (for Masterminds to appear). But that's quite a big time span.

The Paradox Engine moves in a weird trajectory, Great Britain - Spain (battery only perhaps) - Boston?! (Monochrome: <Careful, the Paradox Engine might still be nearby.>) - South Africa - Antarctica.

Why would the Paradox Engine be in America for?

Wait.....what if it was to pick up Tanya and the remaining American military personnel? Just a thought.

The Paradox Engine is never in America and its trajectory is not weird. It moves south, mostly near the western coast of Africa, all the time.

Any mentions of the Engine in Monochrome are wrong and will be removed in the future.

Any information about the Juggernaut plz? Why is the WSA so paranoid about such a big machine moving along with a massive navy?

Did the Soviets ever say they were paranoid about the Paradox Engine and its army? Like, given the events of the world at the moment, I figured they would just assume that it was the Allies dealing with Yuri, or they would continue to be focused on their own affairs at the moment. I mean, the Allies aren't even concerned that the WSA was reformed during Juggernaut, and who knows what dangers a unified Soviet union could pose.

The ultimate point is: I don't think they're actually aware of, or concerned with, the Paradox Engine at all. If they are, then I don't recall any mention of it in the mission or the briefings, and I would remember if it was from the Act 2 briefings considering I wrote them myself.

That being said, Juggernaut is before Lizard Brain most likely. There's quite the span of events between Juggernaut and Power Hunger/Dance of Blood. From a logistical standpoint, it only makes sense to have Juggernaut before Lizard Brain.

IIRC the soviet timeline didn't ever mention the Engine at all.

Juggernaut is more likely to happen before Lizard Brain. Metaphor, which takes place immediately after this, has Opus Tanks mass-produced and deployed.

Btw Power Hunger takes place after Dance of Blood, as RU found a record in CN archive about Libra.

Well, all currently released SP missions finished. Huh, couldn't do this since 3.3.1. Feels weird. All thanks to having save/load!

Exactly! I am finally playing (and enjoying! And finishing!) campaign missions! It is amazing!

Since we know that more Foehn Origins missions are planned, not just the final one, it would be cool if there was a mission that takes place during Obsidian Sands, and it's the Foehn trying to reach and provide Rashidi the means of escape. The mission could be set in the underground tunnels of the region, made with clever usage of existing tilesets, lighting and shroud. As an elite team navigates the natural caves and artificial tunnels, there could be events like passages collapsing (buildings with rock sprites spawning with an effect, basically), or having bloatick tunnels cross with the main tunnels, where periodically a line of bloaticks run through and the player have to time it right to not cross the path of the bloaticks. Or sometimes meeting drillers and tyrants digging through the ground and such.

I dunno, it would be hard to have that many enemies for a mission like this, since buried bloaticks and tyrants are a SC thing, and if we're allied with them, killing them wouldn't be that logic.

While I'd like Origins missions before ToD to show how Yunru cobbled together the Great Revolt's army, I think it's more likely (and I won't complain if that's true, since that's an interresting diection for me too) that this missions will be about setting up the Foehn Revolt for Act 3 by showing their activities during the Conscious Slumber, with for instance a mission where you discover Fin and Alize and try to evacuate them, or set up bases and launch sneak attacks on Epsilon outposts, with the slow build-up of purely Foehn tech, as for Espilon in Act 1 (and part of Act 2).

Tyrants could be mind controlled, and with bloaticks, it's less about them being allies, more like, not getting in their way. And drillers can be enemies. And there could be of course the enemy noticing that something is up and sending troops into the tunnels.

But yeah, wouldn't mind the Origins going for 12 missions, then a 12 mission long Act 3, so Foehn also got 24 main missions like the other sides.

Edit: Also, considering that Proto-Foehn is Soviet x Allies tech, wouldn't mind seeing more buildable stolen tech units during their origins. Especially if Rashidi is on board, maybe some Epsilon-based stolen tech too (maybe not Chrono Prison, but the Syckle). On the other hand, if the Reptoir is really Epsilon+mind controlled Allies and Soviet, then they could use stolen tech untis too.

I don't think it's a joke. MO hides important plot details all the time.

Reptoir might be some kind of Act 3 thing, which is why we don't know about it.

Earthrise, should N reactor place deeper in base with more gatling cannon guard?

When you reach 2nd Launch Pad just send bunch of Cosmonauts to destroy 2 N reactor, then mostly gameover for AI.

True story, no solution.

IMO this mission's overall difficulty is too low. Just spam Cosmonauts and Psicorps has absolutely no AoE AA (given the absence of Archers). Giving player 2/1/0(E/M/H) Cloning Vats at the beginning will make it more challenging.

Maybe the intent wasn't really to make it really challenging, but as a fun grind. People always talk about how stolen tech infantry should come back. Well this missions and meltdown are basically playpens for Cyborg Vanguard.
