It is true that Soviet t1 infantry are lackluster, but that's because they're meant to be strength in numbers of the sort with their low cost and take advantage of garrisons if they can, or even be "meat shields" as some call it (well, at least that works in early game).  At least Mortar Flak troops, compared to the other AA infantry, well I find em more efficient at killing lightly-armored air units like Rocketeers and lesser planes, and you don't even have to worry about their shots missing at all.  And looking at the stats, Flak and Archers share the same HP amount, so they're not that useless.

Unfortunately they're not as useful in late-game cept defense against jets or rocketeers or something like that.  And for Conscripts... yea, they're probably not relevant for late game at all cept for garrisons, but by then your enemy would have something to take em out.

As for basic tanks, it's obvious what's the best, but it depends on the category.

-Jaguar for speed and damage.  Definitely one of the best rushing MBTs, and the desperate driver adds to damage.

-Bulldog for speed and harming infantry.  Also good at rushing.

-Qilin for durability and damage.  Also is still relevant in late game scenarios given its power, and certain matchups actually do call for more Qilins over Nuwas.

-Bison for endurance (if it stays still, which is good against bases without too much DPS)

-Mantis for speed, rushing, and is cheap to build.  I almost didn't want to put this one honestly as I find Bulldogs probably superior.

As for the others, well...

-Cavalier:  Pretty much all-around and basic.

-Kappa:  Doesn't slow down when on ore patches and is amphibious, good for naval support.  Just don't do the naval part against PC or China (borderline Russia).

-Rhino:  Nothing special about it.  Just fairly durable with some power and late-game paradrop, but Jaguars are faster and have that same damage.

-Opus:  Double power if infantry inside, can also be used as transport (a quiet one too unlike Stingers)

-Lasher:  Only good for hit n run, but they still fall against the stronger MBTs.

-Draco:  Its speed boost from spinblades and flying drone feature is great and unique, but its power is lackluster and repelled if there's AA support.

-Cyclops:  Fair speed, power, and durability, but good power only if it's close to a target, but that means going right into a standard blob of units (mostly).  Great for busting unprotected miners though, but even then they're expensive.

Suggestion: bookmark a map/s as favourite because some times i forget it's name, so it will make finding favourite maps faster.

Meaby russians should get a unit that will boost them like they dont have Medic  they can get voodka boost or better bullets/faster attack instead.
Or they get molotov coctails like in ra 3 as deploy attack?

Sounds like an idea for a unit: Field Commissar, uses Krukov's model, is armed with a pistol and smoke grenades, makes basic and maybe T2 (excluding T3 infantry and heroes) infantry around deal more damage. I'm not sure though if firepower buff aura can be made moving, most likely it can work only if its source is deployed/immobile.

I have an idea for an Archtype-ish mission for Epsilon (maybe it's time to move Archtype to a different mission section, Covert Ops?):

Epsilon – Operation: Deathstalker

Location: Sabha, Libya – Player: Scorpion Cell

23 June, 1976 (Before the Third World War)

Malver has been sent to a trial by fire, to test his skills in the battlefield, He must find the European Alliance base in Libya, and infiltrate the Shield Command to help Scorpion Cell get intelligence to defeat the Allies in Libya by capturing an Allied Spy, after that, he'll deal with the Allied base to show his capabilities to Rashidi

Will Malver prove Rashidi as his right-man?

Objective 1: Infiltrate the Allied Shield Command

Objective 2: Destroy the Allied base

Objective 3: Return to Rashidi to the specified location

Hints:

*There's a Soviet Libyan base full of Demolition trucks, Crazy Ivans and Terrorists, Use your PsiCorps Troopers to destroy the Allied base

*Use Malver to your advantage for stealth

Your starting troops are: Malver and 3 PsiCorps Troopers.

 ?What do you guys think

(I don't know it if fits the lore exactly, but it's supposed to be a pre-GWIII mission just like Archtype)

edit: rip revora aligns lol

I have one in my Mod. Works exactly as you say minus the Smoke Grenades and has a Deploy Attack that buffs nearby Units and helas them a bit which works similarly to the Yuri Deploy. Someone said you can make the Second Buff Effect work by making it a dummy weapon triggered via airburst that detonates on launch. With NoAmmoWeapon Conscripts can possibly get a second weapon effect as you said. (Refer to the Allied Riot Trooper) for an idea on your Smoke Grenades or maybe Molotovs.

That mission would heavily contradict the current lore. Malver received his portable chimera core from Yuri himself and psi-coprs was not afilliated with any of Scorpion Cell actions before Scrapyard.

Though, a Scorpion Cell mission before they went Yuri would be interesting, maybe as a sort of look into their values and goals.

Fort Kickass (4) is assigned as a top vs. bottom map by the odds vs evens rule for 2v2s, but I think it's supposed to be left vs. right.

Yeah, i guess maybe making Malver appear visible without the portable Chimera core could make it more sensible (even though there won't be much stealth), also instead of having PsiCorps troopers, there will be an Infiltrator.

Yup, especially a mission that reveals about the origins of Malver, since there's not much info on how he became Rashidi's right-hand man.

Suggestion: Is it possible to separate Repair I.F.V.'s and Stingers when using the "Select units of same type" key? so when you Select All "armed" I.F.V.'s and Stingers it excludes the repair vehicles. and vice versa.

And is it possible to make those repair vehicles on alert by automatically seeking out damaged friendly vehicles like how the Soviet Repair Drone works?

It's impossible.

It's impossible aswell, however you can manipulate that using commands. Keeping repair untis in different control group and giving them Guard/Guard Area/Escort Unit order will make them auto seek nearby damaged vechicles. My personal Favourite is Escort Unit, which is same as Guard Area - ctrl + alt - but you dont use it on ground and instead click on one of your units.

Please make the Black Widow less... annoying.

Increase its radar jamming distance, so the minimap doesn't have seizures while the Widow is flying in and out of jamming range.

Is annoying mostly because of the sound that maps go offline or something, the frequency should be lowered, if i remember it right.

The entire purpose of Black Widow is to be annoying, there are players who are not concerned with the lack of radar so it has to compensate for that somehow. :shiftee:

Just build a second radar out of range. Solves every problem.

If annoying players is the goal, you might as well make a unit to turn the opponent player's screen on and off in rapid succession. The "minimap siezure" caused by the BW is cancer.

That's not viable on all maps.

Is it a good idea to make each sub-faction gradually (possible future lores about their tech evolving/upgrading?) become more specific to one type of weaponry/style?

For example USA became more focused on using laser technology (so gradually all units and tanks will use laser weaponry)

Or SC became more focused on poison, toxin, corrosive and all those acid stuffs.

But ultimately this is just a change for the graphic tho, no roles of units replaced or changed, just graphically they're more focused on one type of weaponry.

I just thought maybe this could be used as side-lore in missions which would slowly change each sub-factions. (Of course, I never meant that the change is given immediately like, suddenly all sub-factions changed).

Sort of like how USA's robot tank uses laser now instead of a double rifle (I think), so maybe in the far future updates their MBT also uses laser instead of cannon (but still for anti-armor).
