Also. Pteradons still imba when spammed. I have no clue what soviets can do against them. Latin confederation catastrophes get completely destroyed due to AoE, same with flak tracks. And we all know flak troopers are too pro to mess with pteradons. Only ones having a chance against pteranodons are wolfhounds. Sentinels = same story as catastrophes.

Okay, now I know for sure you're trying to screw with me. Put 15 dogs in the Field Bureau and they get upgraded? Seriously? By that logic, if I put 30 Conscripts in the Field Bureau, my Conscripts should all be armed with the Cyborg Vanguard's chaingun and nuclear grenades...
On a more serious note, I was thinking, since Russia has a thing for Tesla weaponry (Volkov, Tesla Cruiser), I was thinking: give Russia a stronger version of the Tesla Trooper, much like how China's Eradicator replaces the Desolator.
This new unit, compared to the baseline Tesla Trooper, would have:
Pros:
+More health
+Does more damage
+Has a short EMP effect on its weapon, much like the Tesla Cruiser
+Requires only one of these units to keep a Tesla Coil operational under low power. You need 2 Tesla Troopers to keep a Tesla Coil online on low power, whereas you only need one of these new units to keep a Tesla Coil online while on low power.
Cons:
-Costs more
-Slightly slower
This came up in my head because people were complaining that Russia feels boring and uncompetitive to play with, compared to LC and China, and I figured, meh, give Russia something to help alleviate that. I imagine though that the devs have probably seen this suggestion many times already at this point, but this is a suggestions thread, so...
I do have something similar ideas for both the Euro Alliance and PsiCorps regarding their respective themes (Chrono technology and Mind Control respectively), which I will talk about in a later post in this thread. For right now, I just wanna see how people react to the idea of a stronger, Russia-exclusive version of the Tesla Trooper.

How it is now: You look at a support power and it says 50%. You don't know when you'll be able use it.
What I'm suggesting: You look at a support power and it says 2:00 (in counting). You know when you'll be able to use it.

Yes, i meant Adepts and Elites.I think he's talking about Epsilon adepts.Uhhhhhhhhhh... $1000 slow infantry that can OHKO an enemy tank but easily dies to one dog? Which infantry are we talking about here? I actually can't remember an infantry like that, at least not off the top of my head...
So do Knightframes (which was nerfed, but they still hit multiple infantries at once). Plus dog and crush immunity, plus higher range, plus antiair... I understand perfectly why people would compare them.Pyro have AOE attack.

Not everything needs to be heavier, more costly, and slower when dealing with an upgraded unit. Case and point, Armadillo, that thing is only tougher and cost a little more. It has no speed debuffs despite being a ton more armor. Same with the tesla trooper, why give them what is especially Volkov? However, I do want a different sort of advanced Tesla Trooper. Perhaps with even cybernetic enhancements (spider legs would be way neat).
While the design of the unit will be left up in the air to be discussed, one thing is clear. This will not be a double-barreled rip-off. I suggest making adjustments to the range and movement speed of the new and improved tesla unit instead of damage. Perhaps even giving it a deployable emp effect similar to the adept's psi wave. Plus, reducing the health of the unit drastically while providing Cyborg class armor. Maybe have this unit fill a sort of a pseudo-escort job for the tesla cruiser or Volkov. I suggest looking at the Nod cyborgs from TS for reference.
It would be funny to give it an EMP deploy. This would ruin anyone who misclicks deploy ;p

It is not possible. The numbers you see are basically transparent images layered on top of the cameo, there's a separate image for each number from 0% to 98% with a step of 2 if I recall correctly. They are used for every button in sidebar and initially they didn't have numbers at all - just look at vanilla game build countdowns. You can't make a special timer for some specific button this way, but it is possible to give abilities globally visible countdowns, which is not a good idea.
What would be a good idea though, is to give all support powers a text message "%power% is ready" which would only be visible to the player. Ares supports that, and one generic ping sound for both support powers, superweapons and recon powers is not informative at all - what's the point of having that ping if the only information it gives is "something is ready for use"? Since EVA can't be expanded further, and unique pings for each of 3 categories (SWs, Recon, Support) won't be a thing either, adding text messages seems to be a good solution to compensate for that.

I think he is actually fine, mostly because he dies incredibly quickly. Gatling cannons tear him to shreds, one gehenna platform makes him completely useless. 3 -5 well placed shrike nests/ flaks. Only faction to have some trouble with him is allies due to the fact that the AA defence shoots projectiles instead of insta-hit, so he has the ability to outrun it. But with some AA you can make Norio useless, while almost all other heroes will always have some value even in normal fights.

They don't. Have Nanoloom and Harbinger Tower as any other faction (play unholy alliance) and you will hear Foehn EVA voice instead of your own EVA as soon as Nanosynch and Harbinger are ready. That's not truly EVA expansion, as long as other 3 EVAs can't say the same lines in their own voice. And that's why EVA can't be expanded: you can ask Seoras to record additional lines for Foehn EVA, but for Soviets, Allies and Epsilon you work with what you already have, and the best you can do is to c&p sound clips, like it was made with "defence upgraded" alarm which is a true EVA event (all factions' EVAs say it in their own voice).
One observation I've got on this topic - "Stand by for Knightfall" isn't spoken by Volknet, but some generic commander (presumably) up on the Coronia. What's stopping secondary voices being used for other support powers? An air traffic controller could go "aircraft in holding pattern" to signal a tank or paratrooper drop being ready, or a technician could announce "Shield generator charged" for defensive powers like the Euro Alliance's Force Shield or HQ's Kinetic Barrier. If their accent is neutral enough, they could probably serve equally well whichever faction activated them.

That's a vYR EVA voice though, without any c'n'p involved on modder side, the EVAs have a lot of unused lines.

Still, Norio is just way too good at taking out large structures. He does as much damage per volley as four Cavalier tanks. His hit box is very small too, allowing him to narrowly pass by a lot of stationary defenses.
Combining the fact that Eagles can snipe regular power plants, and Norio's speed and powe. Well... it is just an nasty combination.

Yeah, and PF is the Tanky allied sub-faction, no other Turtle sub- faction (CN, LB, HQ) have the ability to hit and run this hard. Sounds a bit out of place for me.
