well all of the these suggestions are good but I prefer cosmonaut.

why I chose cosmonaut? because I feel he will fits Russia and he will be a strong opponent to Allied rocketeers and Chinese gyrocopter

But he is air unit and Soviet faction shouldn't have more air units than they already have, it would blur the line between them and Allied, which supposed to be the one with Air Supremacy. I believe he is a special unit for campaign only. (or replacing Conscript on special multi/skirmish maps maybe)

 

But hey if you believe cosmonaut is the one for Russia, that's cool. We'll see if he will get added or not later.

 

well I don't think that cosmonaut will affect anything since allied have alot of air units

.

Now why would i use cosmonauts instead of wolfhounds? Specially given that wolfhounds get the price reduction from industrial plant and cosmonauts don't.

And don't tell me to use them on hit and run tatics, we have foxtrots for that.

 

 

 

 

I didn't say replace wolfhounds with cosmonaut. I said add him as a special infantry to Russia

yeah i mean allies get away with it with their rocketeers because warhawks cant target air, the EA lacks a true T3 anti-Armour and norio is just one bloke and as for china their dragon flies are a support unit not an attacker

 

Russia doesn't lack anything thing unlike the other major infantry factions like HQ and last bastion which use infantry as their T3 siege units. Russia is fine as it is

and also when people talk about an upgraded tesla trooper what they mean is a nerfed volkov,

Ugh I would prefer Voltmortar rather than nerfed Volkov, just so that it has different way of attacking, not just another stream of electricity. No stealth, lower damage, cannot detect stealth.

 

But of course, only if the devs actually want to add another infantry.

They lack long-range anti-infantry/armor..? I mean Scud is for structures and can be easily avoided if targeted to infantry/units.

 

The reasoning obviously more because China and Confed both have 2 unique infantries while Russia only has 1, but in term of efficiency or usability, Russia doesn't really need another unit/infantry since they have Wolfhounds.

 

I was just saying that, IF the devs decided to add a unique infantry for Russia, it would be better to have Voltmortar rather than Cosmonaut, that's all. If the devs decided to not add more infantries to Russia, I'm fine with it.

Russia is all about close-quarters combat every unit of theirs just screams "SEND ME AT THEM".

Scud being the only exception because melee siege doesn't work for obvious reasons :v

Cosmonaut would be really dumb because its entire point is it functions in space, not on earth. Leave that unit for cool custom moon maps.

I did suggest a Tesla Trooper variation a while back that focuses more on their ability to keep Tesla Coils / structures online rather than being mini Volkovs, but the more people explain Russia doesn't need another unit the less I see it happening. Voltmortar would be a really poor addition because it'd detract from the Confederation's Mortarquad imo, even if they'd be designed for different targets.

Could watch towers be build able in skirmish, just so our bases look better, for us who like to make bases?

the map's editor is coming and you could just wait for that and use it (it is better for setting up anyway).

rocks are used to block certain areas without making looking like "an invisible wall" is preventing you so I doubt that would change.

IMO compared to other stolen tech units, both of them can't really punish Epsilon well. Chrono Prisons can do nothing against massed Epsilon infantry spams. There are only few units in the Epsilon arsenal that is worth mind-controlling by the Dybbuk-Seizers. So I would suggest that Chrono Prisons can also abduct infantries. Dybbuk-Seizer, on the other hand, should become a regular Epsilon unit.

I agree, and it's mostly counterproductive to steal Psicorps tech as Allies because Mastermind can't be abduct and will instead just control the prison, turning your Stolen Tech against you

The Chrono Prison should at least be mindcontrol resistant. Honestly though it's really difficult to infiltrate Epsilon anyways. (Mindcontrol and spook filled bioplants). The reward isn't paying off in the long run. But then again, when looking on the side of the Epsilon player. The prison would almost be unstoppable if they couldn't be mind controlled (With proper escorts of course).

IMHO the only reason for Seizer to be a stolen tech is that it SHOULDN'T be a regular epsilon unit :D

Last Bastion has to work really hard in order to counter that thing 


In-game speed vs real life speed?   
Malver in Obisidian Sands?   
Strength-Agility-Intellect subfactions?
