Mind-control resistance is a pecular thing. 

 

One wonders how a teenage girl like Yunru has more resistance than a battle-hardened soldier. 

 

It will be amusing to have a bit of Allies and Soviets left in the next Act, just so to diss the Foehn whenever they start to lay claim the title being the last remnants of the free world.

I personally wonder how and why there will be a Foehn and Foehn mission. Because there will be one, it's obligatory.

The first will be likely Nobody Home, probably to make sure the technology and means for creating Foehn remain secure despite the events of Thread of Dread (afterr all, we never fought Gharials until now, and the proto-Mastodons evacuated too, withouut talkng aout the Centurion). The other question here is, does it happen before or after Thread of Dread, or at the same time? There is also the question of if we'll see more proto-Foehn during the campaigns.

So now that we have some previews of the upcoming missions.....I wonder if anyone wants to take more guesses as to what happens in the story?

Here's how I see things: The Foehn Revolt was founded by the Chinese and other unknown parties. We know Yunru is one of the founders, because of her appearance in Thread of Dread. They want to use this new faction to eradicate the epsilon and Yuri. However, I get the feeling that China doesn't have the intention of stopping there, they will try to destroy all of their enemies, including Russia. Remember, they have been working at Foehn Revolt since they captured Volkov and the Kanegawa Industries.
So...China will use the Foehn Revolt to finish off the epsilon and Russia, and probably everyone to oppose them. Yunru will be against this, and she will try to cut all ties with China.
I saw the preview image of Nobody Home. My guess is that we'll have to escort some important cargo through the city, with the Chinese on our tail.

Im going to guess that some of the cargo is the centurion and those mastodon prototypes.

Queue mission where we have to protect 4 cargo trucks with parts of the centurion while we control yunru from all the crap the map is throwing at us.

Let's take bets. Is this a defence mission where we are waiting for the iron curtain shielding to fully coat the Ironwing, or is this an attack mission where we are stealing the ironwing?

We won't steal anything. The chinese probably stole those Ironwings, and we, the Foehn, are getting them back.

Nah, I don't think so. The "Meltdown" teaser indicates, that they're on decline as well. The PRC just wanted to fight back and finally taste some victory, after all their failures, and now they're Foehn's enemies due to Yunru's betrayal. My guess is, that Yunru somehow managed to detect Yuri's presence in Antarctica and is planning to transport Centurion there.

We don't know how many forces Yunru has, so going into Antarctica seems insane, especially since it's Epsilon's HQ and the Allies have the Paradox. I think they're going to flee to Alaska.

I also doubt they're transporting the Centurion. Especially on a jet.

The Jet is surely for Yunru and some blueprints. Regarding the Centurion, I believe it is going to be used during the Act II, and Centurion is seemingly designed to resist the mind-control, so who knows?

"Killing the messenger" means someone gives you bad news and you blame them for the bad news, as though they were somehow responsible for it.

You don't literally "kill" a messenger.
