"If the us and other countrys attack NK then china may help NK"
Thats what it sounds like you was saying because u made china sound like the bad guys that hate america.

ZH: Actualy, in "Traditional" chinese culture (Pre-Modern) ALL foreigners were considered devils. To say "foreign devils" would have translated (in old china) as Devil-Devil... so its kinda mute point about which nationality is called a devil... they ALL are.
BF2: The game revolves around a fictional modern war between the US and China, as well as a seperate war between the US and the MEC. The US vs China maps take place on chinese soil as they defend themselves from USMC expaditionary forces. So, I think in BF2 they are allowed to call the marines "dogs". hell, I'm a soldier and I call the marines dogs... one of my close friends is a marine, he takes pride in being a "dog". so, don't take this one too far.

But really as u said pend that was pre modern, since teh days of china hateing everyone they actuly started trading and become very friendly to other countrys, sure they have there moments but every country does..
But that does not change the fact that china is 1 of the countys strongly wanting NK to cancel the test aswell as cancel there nuke weapons program.

in Chinese there are words that when translated it means foreigners
but we dont usually say those words to describe foreigners we just say"foreign devil"
there r reason for this
When commuist took over Russians were consider friends but then there was a war to the North of China(over land)it was China VS Russia(i dont know who won)
but now i think the relationship is fixed

But china has alot of trade with alot of the world and the US is one of them, they are trading partners and very friendly towards each other. Also the chinese are like allies? to NK or are they just very good friends?
IDk but they are one of the countrys urging NK to cancel ther nuclear weapons program and not to go ahead with the nuke test. Basicly if there soo close to NK and soo US hating why are they on side with the us?

Kim Jong Il is a crazy bitch and might just nuke china for the hell of it.
A nuke is a nuke. If anyone has one near you you gotta be on your toes.
Oh and Pend That was BF2 your talking about BF2MC is about a war with china against US and EU forces over the invasion of a country but a fourth party is manipulating all the forces and is gonna launch Nukes at Europe, USA, and China. And you get VERY little time as marines in BF2MC.
(I think one mission the rest is Airborne and Stuff)

no. I was talking about BF2. Not BF2MC. PC not XBox. BF2 has a back story, and each map has a detailed description. There is no single player except bot matches.

Nk has decleared that the sanctions imposed on it is a decleration(sp) war. lol
Here is an artical about it, the funny thing is NK imo is soo hung up on revenge for the vietnam war that everythings that goes on with the UN they blaim america for.
Even tho there morons and can not accept responcablity for there own actions and it seems there too stupid to understand its not just american wanting these sanctions..
Does anyone think NK will stop there nuke testing or weapons program?
If there saying they feel its a decleration of war then i doubt they will stop doing what they wont, there pure stupid. Sometimes i think is it really kim jon(sp?) in charge or do u think the military is controling him? lol

WoW... Uber, your right... I must have been brain dead that day... but it was a while ago... I'm feeling better now
And the real reason I've come back to this topic...
Yesterday, at work, I was talking to a friend of mine and we were bitching about our gripes with how the military does buisness. One of our loudest complaints was about US Army PT standards, and how the current 2mile run, push ups and situps has absolutly nothing to do with combat readiness... we decided that to do it right, the test should be a 15K road march with full combat load, and 50 meter sprints with basic combat load. Then a marksmanship test. The minimum requirements should be based on THE JOB YOU PERFORM in military. Because, simple put, he and I are both great soldiers, but we're both overwieght. Not obease at all, but still stocky.(I prefer to be called Jolly ) The thaught provoker was what he said about the hight/wight requirements... "The Brits have been keeping military records for longer than we've been a country and they can show that heavy built soldiers actualy have a longer life expectancy on the battlefield" I laughed... but today in the car I was still thinking about it. Ofcourse, I think theres probably alot of truth in what he said, especialy in prolonged land wars with poor provisions. The chubby guys have more of mother natures emergency rations and will resist starvation and dehydration better... but the comment about "Before we were a country" is what really got me thinking...
Basic education... specificly high school... we(americans) have American history that all students have to study. The short short version: Starts with Columbus and then the evangelistic protostans (puritans, quakers, meravians, etc) and the early colony ships. There is a little talk about the french-indian war and the development of the first colonies into major cities, etc. Then we spend a third of the year talking about the revolutionary war, and another third of the year talking about the civil war, and everything else that happened before the 1940s is balled up and spread out over the remaining third. WW1 and WW2 are covered in World History, and anything more recent than WW2 is considered modern politics and taught in its own class.
BUT the most important point is that american history has a VERY distinct begining... 1492... and there is nothing to teach the masses about before that date. (saddly the masses don't care about native american history prior to 1492, only the europeans count... go figure) But America is the oddity in this area... most of the world has history than spans on for thousands of years. And that specificly is why I've rambled on and on today... In European countries with histories predating even the medieval period, where exactly does one define the begining of national heratage? What do your schools teach as the begining point of your national history, and what do your persoanly believe to be the begining point?
For example, Bitish history... Where does it start? With the union of the 4 kingdoms to make the UK? or with the first English king? Or does english history include the pre-roman invasion and the early Celts or Saxxons? there is definatly a time in the past when the people living in england were not "english". Its no different anywhere else... if you go back far enough instead of a nation there were simply scattered tribes. Where do you draw the line in a country that does not have a disticnt begining?

Tribes and such would not call england england they may or may not have called england something else and same with other tribes, romans when they invaded probley did not call england england they may have called it another name.
Its when a goverment or ruler actuly gives it a name and peaple start to know it as this. I not sure when u can say that is in history but i sure u can work it out... so maybe in english time it would be the first english king? but idk

U can start calling a country a country when there is a ruler/goverment that calles them self england.

obviously thats the official beginings of a nation... but thats not the point in question. How far back does national identity run? For example, the US starts in 1492, but it was 300 later when the US actualy became a nation under that name. Another good example is Germany. It is only in modern history (1700s+) that Germany became the nation we now know. Prior to that it was a group of several seperate germanic states, including Prusia. And yet, the pre-german era is still considered part of the national identity.
Let me rephrase the questioin to you specificly Pheonix. What is the FIRST event taught in your English history. Where does the history begin?
