Dear god wtf did u ask me this lol..... its soo long since i did history at school lol. and i was never good at it i was better at geography, but i will ask my friend whos round he did history he may now.

It's kind of an unfair question really, because we don't know everything that happened throughout History. A lot was lost, especially during the Dark Ages, and of course a lot wasn't recorded either. Records of History are pretty valuable when you think about it, because the fact it survived all those years is amazing enough, let-alone the fact that the further back you go the harder it was for them to record that information.

Though if I was to say at a guess, I'd think it was when the Vikings invaded. I think it's fair to say that a persons race can't really be defined until there is some kind of infrastructure, as Phoenix said. It's not like Barbarians are likely to of though about that kind of thing, so before that no-one had defined them as anything. It takes a sophisticated mind to both think about those things and to define those kind of... concepts.

What do your schools teach as the begining point of your national history?

As I remember, the begining point was about 40 thousands years ago. The origin of humans. Stone age. Primitive tribes and so on. Then some talks about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Urartu, and other ancient civilizations. Then early medieval. Foundation of Ancient Russia. Then history goes 2 ways. We studied foreign history and Russian history separately. Some years for foreign history and some years for Russian history. It was even 2 different textbooks. And of course Russian history was more detailed.

I agree with school course of history. About 4000 years ago Saramats came from the south, mixed with Skifs and in some generations founded first slavic tribes. One of these tribes named itself Roosy (Русы). Later this word had been transformed into "Russians". Ancient Russians had founded the country in 838 (9th century).

Guys I got a question when you were talking about history lessons did you mean the subjekt at school?
Cause then I can say you sth we start with the stoneage stuff and so on in 5th Grade and are in modern world in 9th Grade. We basiclly learn most stuff with some importance, even if we are missing most of asian stuff, and then in the language subjects we learn more about a countries history of course.
And Pend one thing I got to tell you about your education stuff with the military there are two problems in the USA first who is supported by the gouvernement and how do you train soldiers when they go into a forigin country
The Groups or Gouvernements the USA supports is sometimes a complete disaster! Mostly it's about money and so on, I just want to mention this!
And then training for Iraq and so on, you need to tell the soldiers sth about the culture in the country they go to you have to tell them not to be so arogant and so on, that's an important factor

But it would have been more fitting to see him receive a lesser punishment.
If anyone heard the story of the Msgt. who was his guard in his final days.
He was humbled after losing power. The Shi'ites (Shi'ites right? not sunnis.) just wanted him dead.

no, but i think there is some satisfaction, because after all the 1000's of innocent children and men and women he painfully and slowly killed is wrong. nothing can justify that. ever. the ones that are alive have blisters and burns and deformatiy all over them, and some are mentally handicapped. and they have to live with the emotional pain of loosing there mother/father/sisters/brothers, all when they were a child, and did nothing wrong. it has probably mentally scared them, because at that young age, for them to see such horor and death is just not right. all this because of one evil man, who probably didnt loose sleep over it and it didnt affect him.

do you know what ? i think it was too quick. i think his death should of been longer,so he suffered, like the innocent civilians.

so dont you think it is good to see the world rid of him? the proof is there, hes dead. thats what i found good, whilst watching it, because he is dead and i saw it.

but another person like him will be born.... it wont be long now.

At the end of the day if the crime deserves death it should be death, Not life in prison not any other crap. We have to pay tax and this is spent on peaple in prisons and crap that get luxuary (if in england lol)
Seriosly they get free food a place to sleep, free medicals and ops and they get tv's, computers. gyms and other such crap.

There ment to be punished not treated like some superstar, kill all that deserve it this cuts down on numbers of prisoners and the number of prisons needed this saves money then it can be put to better use lol

not a nice thing to watch, he was a hero to some and a monster to others, i personally don't believe you can justify these crimes by taking another life. i'm not a sympathizer, but i don't believe you guys cant judge this man on stupid media reports unless you were in his government or one of his victims. how many people died when bush ordered the invasion on Iraq and Afghanistan? or when the Israeli leaders ordered the bombing of Lebanon? many, why aren't they hanged? because Saddam is a political tool that power mongering powers use to justify their actions and for what? this has just worsened the crisis, 1 life for thousands still to come because of the aftermath of the execution.

what he did was horrible, unforgivable and i'm not saying that the U.S or Isreal committed genocide, but killing Saddam is not the right thing to do, as it makes you no better than him and creates more problems than it solves.
