i tired coding one myself with alot of fire effects, i have a nvidia geforce 6200 (yea i know leave me be) and a 3.0 processor and it still had to slow down for but it only had about 4 levels of "explosions" then a grande finale...



another big one is the FX priority and how many fx are on sreen. the engine supports relativly few low priority FX, and one complicared FX can eat up the whole thing at once

I've toyed with the thaught of making ALL FX "always draw" I think it would work, and would be beutiful to play, but only the best machines could play it.... of course, if I did anything like that I would make it an optional DL

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

I'm tired my eyes are burning and i ill so please forgive any bad errors.
But i found this And just thought this would make a sweet anti air unit for the airforce general.
I know usa have been completed or there abouts but idk its cool. but thought i show u all anyways.

ps: now time to claps and die in bed lol

HOLLY CRAP!!! I like it... .... I like it..... unless somebody saw this video they would never believe it. I love the "comming the a Theater near you" at the end.

Also, just did a round of PVP with the latest version of AirF general and I found it VERY well balanced and had a strong fighting chance against even SupW General.

Pretty cool. I wish I could actually do that, much less even own a Hummer. That does quite remind me of a unit that GLA already has though, except it was on a truck instead of a Hummer.

Actually a real Hummer too. AA system based off the Slammer. I think the norwegians have ordered some...

This system looks cool hope Pend will add it, but since I'm a fan of the Stryker,and the LAV siries I would rather suggest this one

Hello!

Just a random suggestion since you guys are talking about light vehicles equipped with assorted weapons.
To replace the Cyber General's or the Airforce general's avengers, a Humvee equipped with a Metal Storm cannon?

For those uninitiated with Metal Storm, it's a series of electrically fired cannons that knocks missiles / planes out of the air with sheer force of numbers.

Technical specs at the moment say it could exceed one million rounds per minute.

While a gattling Cannon and a Metal Storm cannon may seem similar in concepts, a metal storm cannon relies on firelinked barrels, rather than a rotating series of barrels.
Each barrel contains a lot of electrical activated bullets, that are fired in succession.

A metal storm unit would probably have about 4 by 4 barrels, for a total of 16.

I'm familiar with the Metal Storm Cannon. Its a great gun for real life, but in game it would be very hard to make look convincing

Yea, I can see that being a major problem. (Three polygon wide barrels, multiplied by 16? Ok, pixelated!)

That, and if you had any sort of effects for the bullets, your computer would explode.

Or worse.... The pictures I saw of the Metal storm the 16 barrels were incased in a simple metal box to house coolant... A single, simple, bland cube... it made sense I life, but it would look like ass in game. Just a big Square that points at the enemy. Its a good idea, but I just don't think it would wrk out in game... especialy when the Gattling units are so similare in function.

USA is pretty much fully worked out. There are a couple models to be replaced etc, but the design is 100% on USA and is pretty much a closed door at this point.

China is in development right now. its 99% planned... about 30% coded... plus several models to finish

GLA is still in the Pre-Code stages where its swirling mists of abstract ideas.

refereing back to teh "always draw" up top pend....yea you should defintly give that a try i woul defintly play this game more if that was teh case...i get tired of certain thigns i expect to see apear for a couple seconds then "magically dissappear" buase of a larger priority FX appears.....that is a great idea

I like the SLAAMRAAM alot, but its not needed... Its not for lack of cool, but theres already the Avenger in game, and it does a good job. The size of the missiles on the pimped Humvee makes me think alot of the Already exsisting SupW SAM Site... But SupW actualy NEEDS the laser avenger. If it were replaced with another AA Missile then SupW would have nothing to stop the AWACS-PD (point defense and stealth detection)


I also like the LAV serries vehichles, but they look JUST LIKE the china troop crawlers. Theres no pointing in making a new model, it would still look JUST LIKE it... So I could re-skin a troop crawler to USA white, but I think it might look tacky. But, tell you what, I'm bored... so I'll make another poll and ask public opinion on a LAV type unit for USA. I might not make it, even if people want it, but I keep hearing the name over and over, so its worth seeing what people think.

Well I've came here to suggest some thoughts about USA faction.Maybe it's too late to suggest.
USA AF should have X-02/F/A-37 talon/FALKEN
USA AF should have long range attack helicopter as an answer agianst Demo'Nuke truck
Cyber should have EDI as a substitution of Aurora

Well I've came here to suggest some thoughts about USA faction.Maybe it's too late to suggest.
USA AF should have X-02/F/A-37 talon/FALKEN
USA AF should have long range attack helicopter as an answer agianst Demo'Nuke truck
Cyber should have EDI as a substitution of Aurora

the X-02 is already in game for AirF, differnt name, same model. Rosco was working on a Falken model. When it is done it will be added to Lazr.

There are enough strong ground attack fighters that a long range relo really isn't needed at all.
