And true, the thermaberic chemicals upgrade has a large enough AoE so it's fine.

Thermite rounds are a good idea, but I don't know if they would screw the balancing, cause the thermobical mixture is already powerfull, but sth that should be thought about.
By the way, the Flak cannon you mean is the all mighty 88, which became the standart weapon on most heavy tanks in a later stage of war!
It's true German tanks sucked in the beginning of the war, but we used them in the right way, cause the french had the better ones but only used them to support the infantry and not the other way, and we also had the Panzergrenadiere, or for you mechanized devisions, where tanks and infantry where working together.
But in later stages of the war we had better tanks! But pls don't start a discussion about this again, what I said is true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

btw the science program you saw thermite on, was Brainiac and it is the best pointless science show ever. and yes i like the idea :grin:

No, you've done nothing wrong. And the problem wasn't that he asked for an installer, the problem was that he was an asshole about it.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

I don't think the balance would be messed up with thermite rounds instead of napalm rounds, it would simply make the fireflys and other tanks be more effective vs tanks/armor/vehicals and less effective agest infantry.

Take the immoriltor(sp) tank for exsample, this tank has both twin flame throwers and twin cannons, but why use the flame thrower mode when the shells have more range and have napalm inside anyways?
Changing the basic round to thermite would means your anti armor abiltys are better BUT it would force u to use a combined arms (different units)
And with the thermobilco mixtures could simply make the thermite be more volital and burst into flames after a short time.

And i agree with u capt. the french did use there tanks wrong. and teh germans did have the best tansk but they was slow to develop them at the start as they consentrated on anti armor weapons.

I got an idea, which could make supporting easier for crash stuff!
If we could get the guys to answer a kind of question catalog before reporting a crash error, sth like:
version?
sp or mp?
...
But I guess it wouldn't work, cause nobody would do it!

Thats just a given when peaple post crash problems they should naturaly think of telling everythign thats needed IE: System specs (maybe) More importently Version of the mod and what they was doing when it crashed.. like what was u building/upgrading or skill u used and such.

But if peaple can't think of putting that basic info in a post or some info other than "it crashed during a skermish zomg" because that wont help.

Ok, Pend I played a bit of Flame Gen today and recognized some stuff, first the artillery promotion generals power affects not the small rocket luncher. And the building camo of the smerch defense turret is also affected by this upgrade but not the building itself. And then the mine upgrade can be purchased without spending a point on the generals ability for mines, and the smerchs can lay mines too without spending the generals point, but only after getting the mine upgrade at the napalm battery!

The artillary defence does not rank up so why woudl the artil promotion generals power effect it? (is this what your talking about) i am lost lol

Ok Phoenix, about the Smerch defence turret, it's the only one you didn't understand?
Ok, it's simply that in the builing menu of the advanced doser there is shown that the smerch defence is once promoted, which can't be so this bug is more sth that just looks wired!
And Pend have you found out sth with those rocket guys firing twice?

O i se your talking about the command button to build it. ;)
well i don't know why it has a strip on it weird because the picture is of a turret not the smerch truck.
Needs editing out of the icon but i would say thats a small detail that can be left near the end got to prioitize these things ;)

i just had a random idea, thought i might share it to see what you think. it is a bit random thou.
casue the GLA have the fundamentalists and angry mob, cant like the normal usa get a counter terroism unit? with like 3-4 people in it with mp5's and flashbangs. they can clear buildings and are stealthed and are very effective against infantry. a lot less damage to tanks thou and average damage to buildings. or they could place a small charge on a building taking it to half its health and is usable 1 minute or every 1 and a half minutes. it could be like one USA's factions hero unit(s) built as one.

what about different weapons for infantries
Shotgun:range is very short but very powerful
Machine Gun: very fast firing normal damage but short range
Rifle:single shot slow firing powerful and long range

And what about civilans like in RA2
they could have small fire arms and shoot at every 1 that comes close

instead of camoflage for Rebels and Bomb trucks they could look like civilans and normal trucks

I would like 2 c more attack and transport helicopters for US and China

Nukes should be able to destroy 75% of a base

Replacing nuke cannon with some other long range artillary would be good
i dont really like nuke cannons and it really doesnt make much sense(unlike the scud luncher)
i was thinking maybe some Chinese long range missile luncher:

i dont want 2 play airforce general everytime

the nuke now destroys 50%(maybe)

that Tube is a protection layer for the ICBM inside(they use this layer when the ICBM is being transported and i think maybe stored). It is on a truck not car.This vechile can have the same power as the nuke cannon itz just like a new skin and faster movement.

What i think is please post hero ideas in the hero typic, but imo i don't like it... but thats just me we will see what everyone else thinks.

Would be cool but infantry general i think would be the only one to really benifit from this, infantry has a bigger role in remix but even still infantry is still infantry and later in games tend to be used less, only the infantry general would take advatange of this.

O and btw machine guns actuly have good range... not very accurate at long rangers but they do have good ranges (depending on the gun)

M16 effective range 550 meters (600yards)
M60 effective range 1100 meters (1200 yards)
M60 max range 3725 meters (4074yards)
(did not have max range for the m16 on the site only effective range)
But anyways u see what i'm getting at MG have hell of a good range.

And what about civilans like in RA2

How would this work?
If i noticeds 2 or 3 civilians walking towords my base i think i kill them don't you?
Hardly any maps have any civilians on them so this idea is usless, with stealth u can't see them unless they are detected so it works.

Trucks again are pointless, if i see a normal truck coming at me i would be thinking kill.
The trucks being able to disguses them selfs as one of your vehicals is MUCH more harder to spot as when your scrolling over the map u may not notice one fo your own looking units during a fight moving towords u.
Sometimes units are stupid and dive backwards a short way before turning around and so u can over look this style of disguses.
Best way to combat this is spam radar trucks or any other detection units u have around the map ;)

Wait till remix V3 is released some sides have a new or upgraded helo some do not but there are a few more.

Nukes should be able to destroy 75% of a base

Sorry i'll be good (sticks halo back on) In remix each general has a mini sw and a more powerful sw.
ie: nuke gen gets a basic nuke but can research the ability to build MIRV nuke.

And besides 75% for a basic nuke? thats a bit much.

Beleave it or not the nuke cannon is REAL, but it was americans that built it.
Read about it all here It was decommished pretty quickly and all rounds have been dismanted and now the lunchers are just on show or in storage and of corse safety'd lol. If u want to see one during testing then click here and download the video (only 3.85mb's)

Anyways enough of the nuke cannon lesson lol.
Every teams has atlest 2 or 3 diffenrent artil/long range units so don't worry yourself.
Also you need to remember this (kinda boring to repeat myself) this mod is NOT a totel conversion mod.
Its aim is not to make all units modern or realistic, its aim is to make the mod what the makers ie: creator and pend think the game should have been like when it was released.

U keep suggesting modern real life vehicals and while the suggestions are not bad u suggest alot of them witch leads me to beleave u want a realistic mod witch u wont find here, your find a fun different mod here can't says it overly realistic.

This vechile can have the same power as the nuke cannon itz just like a new skin and faster movement.

Um why change a skin to look different if it will effectively be the same attack power and style. and u must remember the missile on this would be able to be shot down, nuke cannon shells can not be shot down.
