Wow I really like the way Cel planned to have Elves in their personal realms in two factions and it looks very well-organized. My favorite part is Cirdan finally getting fixed. Minstrels sound pretty cool too. One thing I would ask for, Cel, is for the outposts to go back to the way they are. I really liked being able to garrison archers or heroes to protect my outposts...

And I know you already described the Eriador Elves' castle in post 1 but could it look something like this:

Cause the current Elves' castle is just hard to get used to with all the trees and you can't see build plots easily.

This was taken out for the current version because leaving it in would have resulted in a lot of tedious recoding that I was not up for doing. However, as I'll have to be doing all this tedious stuff when I add in the new faction anyway, I'll probably fix it all (and add in the Slaughter Houses to the evil economy plots)

And I know you already described the Eriador Elves' castle in post 1 but could it look something like this:

As I said before, I'm staying as far away from the Elvenstar mod as possible (nothing against them, I just don't want to look like I'm imitating them). The Rhovanion castle will greatly resemble the current one. The Eriador one will have walkable walls (probably circular like Gondor's) and will be a mix of Rivendell and Havens architecture. What's best is that a certain special someone - who we at T3A consider godly with Photoshop and 3DSMax - has offered to do the Eriador buildings  .

But it's the general idea; walkable walls, gate (will that be included?), towers, all very Gondor-esque (there's a word for ya).

No, of course not, it just gives us a basic idea for the Elven castle.

I don't like this Elvenstar fortress, I'd like to see something based on Mithlond architecture, with loads of stone. And a huge, high Mithlond tower as a fortress

I think that, apart from Rivendell buildings, Eriador Elves buildings should be stone, to make bigger difference between them and Rhovanion Elves, mostly wooden structures.

Well the Eriador castle is going to be a mixture of both Rivendell and Mithlond architecture, so you'll be seing both in one. :p But I agree that the Mithlond structures should be made out of stone.

Yeh. I'd like a resource building different than the orchard for Eriador. (or whichever one is the new elven faction :p) Just for some variation...

Maybe (and I did mention this earlier in this thread) the Eriador 'farm' could be like a Forge or a Trade Centre; the Elves were known to have trade with the Dwarves in the 2nd Age, and obviously the Forges of Eregion were where the Rings of Power were made.

That's a very gd idea. :p Eregion forges are also the resource buildings for Elves in BfME 2.

Eregion Forge is an upgrade building in BFME2.

My ideas for Eriador buildings:
- Smithy: basic resource building, cost 350. Decreases the cost of upgrades.
- Forest Fruit Plantation: next resource building, cost 350. Decreases the cost of Rivendell Riders and Harlindon Bow's.
- Guild of Merchants: resource building, cost 750. Something like Gondor's Market, gives acces to economy upgrades (Eriador Elves should have some).
Or:
- Fishermen's Cottage: resource building, cost 350.
- Green Pasture: Resource building, cost 350. Decreases the cost of cavalry.
- Mashroom's Plantation: the same
- Forest Fruit Bushes: the same
- Baker (I know extremly stupid idea :p )

I know they are based on Isengard and Gondor, but I'd like to see Eriador Elves something between those two factions.

I'm afraid that my ideas are not good, because Forges of Eriador were pillaged and pulled down years before Third Age, even before The Last Alliance. In the Third Age Eriador (especially this part near Moria) was a depopulated, barren, wild land.

The topic's about the Elven Alliance II, or as it is officially called now: The Last Twilight. Just posts your thoughts on ideas about new units, buildings, upgrades, animations, textures...anything related to creating a new faction. The first page (more like the first post) tells you what the units and heroes, and more importantly, the factions that are going to be in it.

Edit this post was not aimed at Lauri specifically, but to everyone who is new to this mod (hopefully, not many people ).

The walls are going to be awesome. The two things that I'm really looking forward to are the Silver Tree Guardians and the Noldor Warriors. Can you give us some insight as to what they'll be like (and where the Noldor Warriors come into the storyline)?

P.S. Will Glorfindel be the most powerful hero for Rhovanion?

Sorry, my bad, I meant Eriador. And I know for a fact that Galadriel will be the most powerful for Rhovanion. It is written in the books that apart from Galadriel, Glorfindel was the most powerful Elf in Middle-Earth. I just want to know if Celeglin will make him what he is made out to be.

And in terms of power, the heirarchy goes like this (most powerful to least): Galadriel, Glorfindel, Elrond. Maybe Cirdan is next, I don't know.
