Nice, but not really likely. I don't know, those 'survive' missions were boring.

pehaps there should be like a final attack on the way to the grey havens, like a siege on something that threatens the Shire, only the elves didn't know about the shire being overrunned with villains and slavers and Saruman's stupidity

what about leaving Dol guldor out of Mirkwood and make the last level a ''destroy Dol Guldor or else.." mission.

it would cover siege, survive and cutting through lots of orc and crap you've been talking about
If the above post offended you in any way,
please take note that, until further notice, I don't care, so get lost.

Dol Guldor is already its own mission.
And we are looking for one that both Eraidor and Rhovanion elves together.

Maybe a mission concerning the armies of Moria? It's basically the only Evil Stronghold between Lorien and Rivendell, and Moria and/or Dul Guldor both attacked Lorien at various points in the closing days of the War of the Ring.
I know it doesn't essentially fit in with the set time frame, ie said Armies were defeated by Lorien and the Lady's Armies crossed the Anduin to lay siege, but meh.

gildor.jpg

pic for Gildor...seeing how he will be in TLT...it probably wont fit in palantir but would make good Hero Button (the ones along the bottom of the screen, i mean)

I know that he was not an active character in the movies...but every character from the book (or most) were given someone from the movies to represent them :)

P.S.--is Gil-Galad in the game...and are Orophin and Rumil Campain-only heroes

ElladanElrohir.jpg

So i typed in Elladan and Elrohir in photobucket...and these pics were all over the place

Left is Elladan, right is Elrohir (obviously)...

It doesnt say anywhere in the 1st post that Elladan uses a bow...he should be like Gamling only vice-versa...bow while on foot...sword while mounted

Well, I didn't know Sindar wielded axes. I don't even remember reading that. I stick with Tolkien's version of Elves.

That aside, maybe a Hollin level could be added where you have to reclaim Eregion or something.

I found some good picks for Rumil and Orophin, if they're gonna be added.

Dol Guldor is already its own mission.
And we are looking for one that both Eraidor and Rhovanion elves together.

That, and that Dol Guldur happened before a few of the missions that Celeglin is planning. It wouldn't make sense to have it after all of those just because it's a 'big mission'.

Maybe a mission concerning the armies of Moria? It's basically the only Evil Stronghold between Lorien and Rivendell, and Moria and/or Dul Guldor both attacked Lorien at various points in the closing days of the War of the Ring.

That's actually not such a bad idea...in fact I think we can work around that! Nice thinking elfhelm..

Yep, I've shown Celeglin those before, and given him the idea of Elladan using a bow instead of a sword, but that got turned down.

That aside, maybe a Hollin level could be added where you have to reclaim Eregion or something.

The only problem with that is that most of Eregion was intact by the time of the last mission. Wouldn't make sense to attack something of yours, now would it? :)

Well, I didn't know Sindar wielded axes. I don't even remember reading that. I stick with Tolkien's version of Elves.

Tolkien himself wrote that the axe was one of their main weapons:

Then Beleg Strongbow, chief of the Marchwardens of Thingol, brought great strength of the sindar armed with axes into Brethil.

The Silmarillion - Of the ruin of Beleriand

Strong and able to wield arms, the axe and bow of the grey-elves.

Unfinished Tales - Of Tuor and his Coming to Gondolin.

Also there are references to Thingol's armouries having huge supplies of axes.

Like I said earlier, it is a common interpretation of knock-off fantasies to picture elves as being pointy-eared, feminine archers.

You see, zimoo, I didn't read (or have) any of the Unfinished Tales books and I'm currently reading the Silmarillion and haven't gotten that far. So I'm not going to argue with you. I didn't know they did and now I do. I've always gone with Tolkien's Elves. Not these "knock-off" fantasies you keep saying.

I go away for 12 hours and look what pops up! :D Holy S***, those are truly your best work! ;) And especially well done with the 'triple drape' thing on the Tower Hills Guards and Forlindon's Bows. And their bows! Absolutely amazing. :D And the new helms for the old units (and some of the new ones), wow. We can expect nothing less than another fantastic update, thanks Celeglin!

Edit: almost forgot, those Noldorin Warriors are awesome! ;)

Edit #2: by the way, will the Noldorin Warriors have access to upgrades? Because in the render one has a Forged Blade.

Yay and such! So glad to hear that you all like them. And yes ched, you are sooo right :) .

Edit #2: by the way, will the Noldorin Warriors have access to upgrades? Because in the render one has a Forged Blade.

I usually don't show the Forged Blade FX in renders, but I thought it actually looked quite nice on the Noldorin Warriors, so I left it in. They won't start with it in the game.

As for some of the questions on the campaign... I had thought of having Moria as this "final Elves mission". If I do one, it will probably end up being Moria. Too bad the Balrog's already dead...
