Hehe ok, thanks for the translation... I guess when two vikings are communicating in english, this happens *lol*
And yes, Im trying to figure this out asap...
EDIT:
WOW, I missed all those replys, that came while I was answering the obove *lol*
Lauri... I'm one of those guys that get a tummy ache from asking people of favors... but naturally I would be very happy if you would help me with that
2Play: THANKS!!!
Ched: Thank you! And that sounds great! I have the PDF at my home theater site (www.bigscreen.se (swedish site)), but putting it up here would make more sense! I just got spooked from JEV's statement before concerning all the work *lol*
Lauri? I'll bother you on MSN then...

Lauri was kind enough to take it upon himself to help me convert this "folder swap mod" to a "-mod". This by using 2Play's new tool. Allthough, Lauri doesn't have BFME2, so he couldn't test it. I got it back today. I did a fresh re-install of the game, updated to patch 4 (3), like it's set up do be for this mod, and then I tried the -mod command...
That gave me this error:
My own theory...:
Maybe 2Play's program doesn't change this line in Gamedata.ini:
#include "CreateAHeroGameData.inc"
And maybe that's why the error says that that file is not present in "Default" folder (which I never was from the beginning)... I dunno offcourse since the whole convert thing seems complicated to me.
*sighs*
Anyway, I'll try and ask 2Play about this...

Well, considering that I knew nothing 3 month ago, and now I've atleast managed to to some kind of lttle moddy thingy... somewhat bigger than the "expand Balrog life thing" that started my interest... ...maybe I could atleast be refered to as a "nob" instead of noob? There's just so many OO's in there... *lol* Just kidding, call me what you want guys, I'm still proud of my mod and all that you have learned me!
Thanks, I will try this at once!

*banging head in wall*
Allright, this is what's gonna happen... Either I:
1) I don't release the mod... ? (At least I can play it myself *lol*)
or
2) I leave the mod a "folder swap" mod, and that will make this download like a gazillion MB since I would have to send along the Textures.big files
or
3) I try to find someone else that would be willing to help with the conversion. Someone just as not-noob like Lauri, but someone that also has BFME2 installed, so this kind person could also try the functionality.
But since I hate asking favours, I'm just gonna hope that that someone sees this and offers to help by free will...
That's it for today anyways. Gotta finish some other work before bed. Good night to you all *zzz*

that's a workaround, not a fixThat crash that you had, just change ISTARILIGHT_RECHARGE_TIME into number
what happens is, you refer to a macro called ISTARILIGHT_RECHARGE_TIME, but it doesn't exist. check that, then come back
(are you sure all gamedata is properly loaded?)

Yes, I don't know much about -mod, and thats why I asked for helped. Insulting me has though starting to come to a point where Im getting a bit annoyed with you attitude Lauri. Even though Im sure your just kidding. I cound squash you like a bug irl little man , so keep you attitude to yourself. It's not funny anymore *mumbles*
But hey, thanks for all your help anyways. You're a great modder and really helpful. But just because I need help doesn't put you in a position where you can keep that up forverer. Ok?
I'm off to work and I will look into this later. Thanks again though

if you don't want to move your files (because you want to have things in the right directories) just put empty files in their steadI see... so it's in a way the same problem then... I DO have double inis since the game reads EAs map as well...
note: the game will crash on empty files. add 1 empty comment or something
anyway, as far as i can see, he's not insulting anyone (including you). i mean, all he said is that you didn't know much about the -mod command, which is true, but like i said, we all had to learn at some point, and it's nothing to be insulted by
be glad , he could have replied with "OMG WTF n00b. Dontcha kno that u must override da EA files. wtf noob get out "

aanyways, I'm just like that, and yeah, I'm really just kidding it's probably because your
hopefully you won't get more crashes, but the reason I helped you out on this is because it's kinda my fault... and I saw it of course
and 2play.... never
2playedit: just edited the old man bit to actually say what I am sure you had meant to say, but couldn't think of the right words
