This is where being on this forum for more than a year really pays off. I need to get a life. Have you heard of the siege of Dol Guldur? That was pulled off by the combined forces of Mirkwood and Lothlorien, against one of Sauron's main strongholds. Apart from that I don't know of any attacks, unless they were before the War of the Ring, which is where the mod is made about.

Without treachery no one can stand up to the power of an elven force attacking

I think that it is a little harder for the Elves to assault a full blown fortress  but adding the Ents to the elves might help

The elves also assaulted Angmar in the early third age. Just saying.

Oh, thanks matias, I thought we were through with that line of thought.
No, if you have all their heros and powers, plus some galadhrim with ha and fire arrows to mop up, any fortress will fall

Quoted for the truth. Let this be the end of this discussion: Elven siege is balanced and doesn't need any changes whatsoever. No recruitable Ents, no balistae (at least in TEA), and definately no extra units.

Quite frankly, I'm for thinking Elven Siege is fine. It relies on powers, but, but the time you are actually going to siege, you have them anyway. At least in my experience.

I'd go with 2d3, 3d6, 1/2d7, 1d10, 14d12, 8d20, 13 quarters, and a groundhog.

I'm not sure if you'll need all that, but if you figured out a system from it, it would be the greatest in the world.

I fully agree, by the time you are able to set up a siege you will have Ents and Galadriel available.

You can take down the front gate easily with only Galadriel and archers, and if they are FU then that's all you might need to take the whole castle :p

Hunter, may I ask? Where did that come from!?!?!?
And I don't think archers can attack the gate anyways, and Galadriel currently can't use her power, so she would have to attack it by hand, and they would probably kill her by then....

the only time archers can attack a gate is in helm's deep. why?? don't ask me.

but galadriel can attack gates with her powers. i guess the archers will take down enemies upon their walls.

i wish celeglin was here... he'd probably could answer most of all the questions we have her so we can focus upon the though ones. (and with we i mean you of course. :p I don't want to get dirty)

That is what the archers are for in the first place :p
