Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

anyway. for balance reasons, the Witch-King needs to be stronger than Gandalf the grey, and it needs to be somewhat even when he is gandalf the white

Personally I think Witch-King should be more of a fighter, whereas Gandalf is more of a support hero.

I don't think so, I understand what you're getting at; scince Gondor has loads of heroes now and with Aragorn fighting for Gondor, but Gandalf proved to be an uber fighter in the movies. And in my opinoin to reduce Gandalf to a mere suppot unit would be an insult to his efforts in the War of the Ring.

But his part was not to defeat the enemy himself, but inspire others to defeat the enemy.

That's true. I don't think he should be a hero you just throw into a huge brawl, but he needs to be abelto hold his own in a fight. If he supports allied units then if he can also 'support' himself then that could compensate

Yep, I agree with Gandalf being a support hero, but I also agree with him having some real destructive powers. He was an Istar after all.

I hope that now that Gondor has both Gandalf and Aragorn, none of its heroes are uber. However, I also feel that Boromir got kind of shafted in the game, and that RA's efforts to buff him are a good thing.

I think that Farimir should be one of the main support heroes. Make his melle a little weaker than Borimir's and give him stealth and support powers. He is one of the few heroes I think EA did right :thumbsupsmiley: .

I couldn't agree with you more.

Well basically the uber for Gondor are: Aragorn, Boromir, Imrahil and hopefully Gandalf (I don't want to see the most powerful hero in the game weakened in strength and power :thumbsupsmiley:)

We don't know for sure if Imrahil will be uber, or just a normal hero. Of course Gandalf will remain in his powerful form, actually I think he will be more powerful, what with his new abilities and such. But in terms of actual stats, I have no idea what the modders are gonna do.

None of us do (other than the modders), but I think Gandalf should lean closer to a support role, but not too much.

I agree with Olorin and hdh7. I think Imrahil should just have some leadership bonuses towards his swan knights, which will become even more powerful.

Maybe Imrahil would have a banner like halbarad, that would give leadership as long as the skill is active

I don't know about that... I mean, two Gondor heroes with nearly identical unique powers? And besides, I think Imrahil is more of the kind of hero to go and fight with his troops.

I think that they should leave Gandalf the way he was, other than the new powers. He was completely fine when it came to him fighting.

I agree with King Earnur and Alsch. Gandalf was fine as he was, well at least through my eyes. The modders might've picked out a few imperfections with him, so that remains debatable unless they give us an answer, but they like to leave us looking on our screens, watching our silent torment...:thumbsupsmiley:. And yeah, Imrahil seems more the active, celebrity-type (the people knew him and were inspired by him) person. I'll bet he'll have leadership for his Swan Knights, as well as some other unique ability, and perhaps even a summon.
