I think the spear-throw will/should just be a horde ability. That makes slightly more sense than an endless stream ;)

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

How do you know that?? The Haradrim Warriors from vanillia BFME are anti-cav, and they are still in the faction.

might've misprinted him, but that's how I "know" it ;)

No, it certainly doesn't. :) Kidding; it would be unnecessary to go to that extent, and just think of how complicated it would be to manage that in a battle. *shudders* But I agree with zimoo, it does make more sense, but the one in vanilla (with a few modifications) gives Harad more personality, more uniqueness, as there is no other spear-thrower in the game (as far as I know; there could be one for Rohan). Maybe they could like throw 5 (with about 5 seconds between each) and then wait for a period of 10-13 seconds as a 'recharge'. Might be too overcomplicated though.

Oops, I forgot one important thing :) : their throws are like instant kill on normal, level 1~2 units. So their attacks are like insane in terms of damage.....but they have weakish armour and highish health. That seems more balanced.

Woah, woah, I never said that they were gonna be the ones that are in the mod now did I? :p Me and zimoo were just speculating what could be a possibility..............unless you're talking about the attacks my idea has....in that case it would probably be normal: they just stab out in front of them. Actually, I have an idea for another attack, except it will be hard to model. If you've seen Troy then you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. Remember when Achilles runs up to that huge guy at the start, dodging and deflecting his spears? And then how he just jumps up and stabs him right through the neck? Imagine a spear instead of that short sword he carried, and then implement that into my Haradrim spearman. He just jumps up on the spot and stabs his enemy with his spear in the neck. It would add a bit more variety rather than another jab.

Correct, besides if a release date was set, we would know. But it's good to know that you're apreciating the efforts of the Team.

Bourkahn
Hasharii

Dern-deepers
Fastweards
Cano
Roquentar
Outriders
Ravens
Feredir

obviously this mod is for kean LOTR people who know their shit, but it will still be good to use all this random stuff what aint in the normal 1, take it you lot are making this by the book instead of film.

Well would you like to come up with more sensible words? I'd rather have these "random" words (which actually come from the ME languages) than have boring generic names such as "Harad Captain" or "Rohan Axeman" or whatever they mean. Also, they will have a description in the tooltip anyway so you dont need to know what they mean.

Note - dont take these translations literally, I dont have a clue what they mean.

Oh yeah, and ravens are what they are.

I can explain.

Bourkahn - Harad captain unit

Hasharii - hero assasins of Harad

Mahud - Mumak mounted hero

Dern-deeper - beserker type unitsof Rohan, low armor but exeedingly high damage

Fastweards - elite branch of rohan archers, capable of scaling castle walls

Cano - Quenya: Leader, captain unit for Rivendell, clad in Noldor armour

Roquentar - Quenya: High Horseman, only cavalry for the elves, very powerful

Outriders - Cavalry of Dale

Ravens - Fast scout unit for the Dwarves

Feredir - Sindarin: Hunter - defenders of the Mirkwood hunting lodge, stealthy scouts

And yes the Mod is based on the book, but sticks to the design style of the Movies.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

If you can't underestand what Ravens or Outriders are, I don't give much hope for you ever understanding what the others are.

Bourkahn - Harad captain unit

Incorrect, Bourkahn is actually one of the Haradrim Heroes (of which there are...more than two).

Mahud - Mumak mounted hero

However, they are not only restricted to ride on top of a Mumak.

Dern-deeper - beserker type unitsof Rohan, low armor but exeedingly high damage

Where did you get the notion of these men being berserker-types? They employ a more...silent method of engagement.

Fastweards - elite branch of rohan archers, capable of scaling castle walls

Partly the case. These men serve several other purposes

Feredir - Sindarin: Hunter - defenders of the Mirkwood hunting lodge, stealthy scouts

Cancel out "stealthy scouts" and you'd be quite correct.

Oh and as a side note: Has anyone been to the first page of this thread lately?.......

The Dwarven minifacs iron Hills and Ered Luin have been revised. And there appear to be more dwarven units in the Khazad language. Not a diamond's chance of figuring them out.
