I no this has been discussed like hell but how accurate would hero archers be compared to a regular archer?

Well, if it helps, Legolas is probably gonna be the most accurate. :p Heroes would probably be slightly more advanced than their troops, but I guess that their race would determine it, i.e. Elves and the Dunedain would be the most accurate, followed by Mortal Men (namely the people of Dale, Haradrim, perhaps Gondor and Rohan), then Dwarves and finally Uruks and Orcs (although Uruks can probably be counted among the Men in my opinion :crazed:).

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...

...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

If Gondor feifdom units are still in the game, howcome we haven't seen any renders of them yet? Are they still being worked on?

@Olorin
I would say that dwarves are pretty accurate when it comes to bows and arrows.
If I remember correctly then it's said something about it in the hobbit.

No because they wasted many arrows before hitting black squirrel and also before killing deer too...I think only Thorin was hell accurate with bow&arrows as he hit emissary who came to Erebor doors...

and didn't that emissary stand like, a few feet from him, in daylight?
besides, wasn't it just fired a volly about the door, not specificly Thorin? And, did thorin ever shoot out the doors? :p I didn't think he shot after the Esgaroth and Mirkwood emissaries.... only shouted them away...
of course, you could be talking about another Thorin, or Dain, but me not know....

Sure , but have you ever tried to shoot with arrow and bow ? It's pretty damn hard in my opinion.

Our concept of Dwarven archers is slowish, accurate and quite powerful at a short range.

Well it depends on the bow and what your trying to shoot.

Lets say just a regular bow, not compound or longbow, it takes maybe a year to get good at it. Trying to hit a squirrel with a bow and arrow is pretty damn hard, but a human or something running at you is a bit easier.

Trust me I have experience, I'm in the SCA and have tried to hit a man in combat with a bow and arrow

You really cannot judge a race's ability by the one firing at a small, black squirrel, running away, in a dark forest..

Dwarves are strong. Dwarves are good with their hands. They probably have good hand-eye-coord if they're working on intricate things. What more do they need to be good bowmen?

What more do they need to be good bowmen?

Well, for starters, you need to have a good sense of distance (don't wanna over- or under-shoot, as if you miss it'll give away your position (sp?)), the knowledge of how strong your bow is, how far you can pull it back, what kind of arrows to use (as arrows too short or too long will break the bow), and keeping your form good (it's better to shoot while standing up, as you'll have (albeit just slightly) a better view of your surroundings) while simultaneously nocking an arrow in the bow.
I'm done :p
Cheers,
-mike

Yeah, I have tried. I have bought real bow one time but sadly I have home-made arrows so they aren't very accurate. Still, It is a nice thing to upgrade your accuracy. And I presume hunting is hard but Dwarves are Dwarves and besides they are good warriors and good warriors should be good with all weapons I guess...If an Elf would get an axe I can bet he would wtfpwn orcs like with blade or spear.

Of course Saruman and Lurtz are in  If you read the first post, it says it only lists new or moved units, and they haven't been move and so aren't on the list.

Marsh wraiths are dead spirits, like Barrow Wights
