At some point on this disscussion page I asked what role do the uruk engineers provide for Isengard, I've seen them and the look like Uruk Crossbowmen with tiny swords and they come in squads of 5 but still what do they do? By the way, love the shields on the uruk warriors

Actually, they've got me stumped as well. Do they offer a bonus to siege equipment or something?

I wasn't talking about soldiers, I was talking about gathering in general.soldiers don't gather recources in aoe
Siege Engineers will probably be the guys using the ladders and bombs. Although I am guessing they possibly can do something else if they are in a seperate unit.

Maybe, the Uruk Engineers repair damaged seige equipment and structures, kinda like the Rohan peasants, but apart from that I don't think they have furhter use.

A question about the Rivendell Captains: Can they only combine with Macar and Aithran (the Rivendell Infantry) hordes, or can they combine with all elven units?

first off, Doriwin and Esorgoth are 2 seperate minifactions and as far as i know nothing has changed with either of them.

Yes, he (she? :\) is. Some mini-factions have two regions in the name, like Dunland and Adorn. So, I gather that Esgaroth and Dorwinion will be one mini-faction. Hmmm, I wonder what the Staff are up to

Actually, Esgaroth and Dorwinion are separate minnifactions with thir own unique units and Heroes. Esgaroth offers elite Archer units to Dale, Dorwinion has elite infantry.

If you check the list they are now one mini-faction, this is what i was pointing out. Can the staff coment please.
