And to get us back on topic.
Can you make Black Lotus more useful?
I mean Burton can help with like attack helis
and Jarmen can support infantry and light vehicles.
But lotus is pretty useless.

Lotus has always sucked, and burton has never been great aswell, imo kell was only one that was useful and annoying. I hope pend adds diff heros foe each side in remix with there own powers.

No, No and No.
Generals was never made for boats/ships having them in the game only makes bugs and also maps are not big enough for them.

your coping from PR again. the ships behave like land vehicals, and they "sail" on land. and it sucks.
although i think a navy should of be an option in the origional ZH, look on the front cover. its an aircraft carrier being destroyed by a partical cannon. and there are naval units all around. i would of thought that it would of been included. on the back, there is a large picture of an aircraft carrier sinking. i think its used in one mission. a navy should of been included like in all other CnCs. apart from tiberian sun. causes thats just plaim silly. lol

Actuly not all CnC's had ships, the vist CnC ever only had gunboats but u could not control them all it did was drive back and forth past the shore hitting targets in range, aswell as hover crafts that sometimes brang your MCV into combat with a few units to start the mission.

And the ships in game are actuly coded as "buildings" this is why when u turn them into units it can be a pain in the ass, aswell as ship movement goin on land as such.
The engin was never coded to understand what the water is and what land is only that it was non passable.
It would be nice have been nice is ships was in teh original generals and was ment to be part of it, BUT that would have ment EA changing the engin more to have BIGGER maps for more sea and land aswell as them spending more time on coding and making the game.....
Since EQ took over Westwood CnC games have gone down hill, i hope the new CnC is much better.

As I've pointed out before, I know exactly how to make ships 100% bug free, even the drifting onto land issues, BUT it also includes making them restricted to certain maps only by using capturable shipyards like in BFME and maps carefully designed around using the navel combat.it can be done, and without bugs, but it does involve custom maps. And the naval units wouldn't even be included in normal maps.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

i prefered the westwoood CnC games. a lot better than sucky EA. it would be cool to have ships. but concentrate on the gla pend! :p

If you want Bug Free Naval Combat Wait for V|GO to be released.
We're getting Naval coded in soon.

Back on topic.
Burton was okay. He just needed to be built as support unit.
Kel was the only unit who made a good support unit.
Burton SHOULD have better armor and maybe a SMALL Frenzy field.
Then including him in a ranger battalion/out post defense would make sense.

Black Lotus is the only hero unit who causes a mild panic if she gets inside my base. Have you never stolen an opponents super weapon that only had seconds left before it could fire and used it on them?
I think the hero units where pretty even in Zero hour, not so sure about Contra.
And Lotus is VERY quick at disabling vehicles and it lasts a long time too.
:p

Just my opinion, but I think Black Lotus should be able to drop something from her briefcase. I haven't seen any other mods, so forgive me if this is cliche', but a nuclear brief case would be a very awesome surprise. ;D

been done. it was (I think still is) in Contra and Remix.

How about give her a Deployable MG Briefcase (Like in 007 Nightfire)
It'd be weak, and build quick but It'd make her more useful.

Alright, how about this:


Infantry Lotus: Places a briefcase beacon that a Paradrop ship homes onto, dropping down around 6-12 infantry. Recharge: 1/2 minutes?

Tank Lotus: Ability to mass-hack enemy tanks, shutting down 2/4 at a time. (Can this even be done? o.O)

Flame Lotus: Places a briefcase beacon that a wing of Iron Dragon MiGs lock-on to and fire at, causing a firestorm in the designated area. Recharge: 1/2 minutes?

No ideas for Nuclear Lotus. :x

Hrm.. Well I think the hero units should be support units Not really offensive but that if the soldiers see that a hero is fighting with them they'll fight better.
This sorta makes sense for Infs style but... I don't know. Something about it doesn't seem right.

Yes. If possible I agree fully with this one. Also make her "deploy" her laptop quicker.

Well the reload seems too low.
But the Iron Dragon? Nah. Maybe a single like Heavy Firestorm ship.
Fires a long range rocket. Creates a tactical firestorm...

No ideas for Nuclear Lotus. :x

ok. I'm in the middle of watching terminator 3: rise of the machines. thos duel gatling robot things in that area 51 ish base that starting wasting everyone would be PERFECT for the cyber general. also, those little fighters that the base is testing are sweet as well. don't blame me if u think they suk, im watching the movie. I would really like to see that duel gatling thing though, nice anti infantry thing. mabe even add some kind of "terminator" that would be like a sniper thing, that you could upgrade to different "models", which on their own can be upgraded with certain types of weapons. (flamethrower (increadably powerful anti infantry), plasma cannon (fun way to burn through tanks), sniper(jarmen kell ish), and anything else that seems interesting and "futuristic"). I mean, come on, you can't just use the little not very futuristic robots. you need like uber cyber tech, which, yes, can still be killed in some way, like all of his units are increadably weak vs. emp and such. you have to admit, it would be cool, having like 5 troops being able to waste an army of infantry, if their used right, and then one emp bomb shutting them down for like 2 min. idk, try to think of something to balance it, but plz without changing it too much, those models would be so cool!!! :p

for nuclear lotus, how about a small nuke artillary barrge, or missile, or radiation bomb or somehting. or keep her nuclear brief case the same. i like the idea for infantry lotus. 10 infantry,5 tank hunter, 5 miniginners. all eliete units (2 chevrons) para droppped to support her as she is hacking.

the stormtroopers are like the terminatoras apocolyps, they have gattling cannons and rocket launchers. they screw infantry, light vehicals, and if used in groups tanks. they also fire at air units making them effective. i would like burton to be in cyber form. with a flamthrower, and maybe a plasma cannong or something. i think that the hero units for each faction should be unique to that general, eg burton for AF calls in a helo/plane strike etc. for laser, like he has a really powerful railgun etc.

it would make them "hero units" and unique.

also apocalipse, the rangers for cyber general are like mini terminators, they are beefed up rangers, same with the misile defenders, so if you like terminator, its all there for you.

i have an idea for the SW general..
she should have an upgrade that lower the wait time of the SW by a minute or half or quarter or as many as you want..
this upgrade should cost 4000 or more..
