Hi,

can you please change demo plane model? For example to Yokosuka Ohka (plane used for suicide attacks during WW2), or at least if it really should be L29, please, make it recognizable. Model in shellmap looks really better (old assault's L29 I think).

Obvious one:

Rename the Scolo-whatever/Weevil to the new Cockroach. Seems fitting.

Meanwhile Demo's old cock-a-roach can be called something like 'Desert Runner'

Well there wasnt really 1 plane used for suicide attacks. In WW2 the Japs used Zeros and such. Made of wood instead of aluminium. And carrying a box of C4. But I dont see what the problem with the current model is.

I know, but Ohka is designed just for for that and nothing more. It just fits...


You claim it to be L29 Delfín, but it's not so close with the model, older L29 on shellmap looks better (maybe it's same model, just different skin, but it looks better). And on Airfield icon is something like cropduster!

Hmm... For as far as I can remember the model indeed is a bit odd. Im not sure but I thought it had wings bent backwards while this one has more straight wings..

Could a C&C Tiberian Sun music pack be in order?
im currently trying to make one,but FinalBIG crashes when i select a music track....
any suggestions?

Maybe wrong name for music track. Too long or there are forbidden symbols.

The best is to keep original names of tracks (track1, ...) - then it works, my experience

FinalBIG will crash when you click any non-text file.
You can use it to add any file into your BIG file but you cannot click those non-text files.
I recommend XCC Mixer for file extraction.

you are not using crusader skin. maybe adding a neutral crusader factory in some maps will be a good idea.(maybe with limit number, every factory give you a build limit of +10 of these tanks.....). and so, you are not using old desert cruiser..... perhaps it may fit with a boss generals, just to not waste this nice unit.

Heroes like Lotus and Jarmen are quite powerfull in Contra but Colonel Burton is useless. Except Cyber Burton, 'cos he has a powerfull weapon, and he is fast with exoskeleton upgrade. But for example Laser general's Burton is piece of cake, I've never used it. Can Burtons have a more potent weapon? Or an ability?
Lotus can capture buildings from afar rapidly, while you attack with powerfull Chinese forces. Jarmen can snipe out dozers, so you can steal enemy technology. But Burton with his pity charges can't destroy even a War Factory, it's weapon is effective only against infantry.
So, can Burton have anything that makes him useful?

Will you add some Art of Defance maps (AOD's) in COntra 008 ? I like to play such maps in Zero Hour and it would be great to play them in Contra.

Burton is very useful unit,i use it often,and this is why. First,he kills infantry easy. I always enjoy sneak him in enemys base and stab hackers one by one,without being revealed. Some light structures like power plants,barracks...are destroyed with one charge...later if he is promoted,even war factory. If there is no anti infantry tank,he can destroy horde of normal tanks. The.best trick is to plant charge on moving tanks...they move,and he sets charge (because of the bug,he doesnt move with them to plant charge). And sw-s burton is awesome,i used him many times to plant emp charge on shaitan,turn him off,then kill him easy with light vehicles. Burton is universal unit,can be used against infantry,tanks,buildings...

I agree that Burton is a versatile unit, who can detect mines/traps, can use meele without being detected, can plant demo charges but not powerfull enough to compare to a Lotus, or Jarmen. Lotus can turn the tide of a battle by capturing superweapons, or Jarmen snipes out a dozer and my enemy's tech is mine! But Burton is just more annoying than superior. In a Chinese base he can't do anything (mines will blow him up easily), One (non-flyer) anti-infantry vechicle can kill him, and Burton can't deal with it. Once your Burton is detected, you won't use it effectively again...

Good point with china base, something should be done to make it more useful. Maybe better weapon against structures. Creator should check this post.

Burton, Jarmen and Lotus are different units intended for different situations. Lotus will be better on enemy base, while Jarmen and Burton - on battlefield. But actually, I partly agree with you. Burton is not as powerful as others and needs some improvement. Maybe he will recieve a new weapon or a new ability.

Well,he simply needs weapon boost to be more effective in combat against tanks and buildings which are protected with mines. Everyone is saying that only cyber burton is useful, so, every burton should have equal firepower in my opinion.
