Men of the East, as no matter if it's north or south or in the middle, both Rhun, Khand and Harad is in the East Men of the south doesn't really fit IMO...

Men of the East is a term invented on forums by people who are trying to make the oppostite of Men of the West. MotE is completly wrong. Faramir said himself that their are 3 kinds of Men:

Men of the West: People with Númenórean decent.

Men of Twilight: Men like the Rohhirim or Men fo Dale. Not of Númenórean decent but not in the service of the Dark Lord.

Men of Darkness: Men in the service of the Dark Lord.

So we reckon Men in our lore, calling them the High, or Men of the West,
which were Numenorians; and the Middle Peoples, Men of the Twilight, such
as are the Rohhirim and their kin that have not yet broken their leases
in the far north; and the Wild, the Men of Darkness.

Sorry if I came off mean their but I just had to get that of my chest. Men of Darkness is the proper name, Men of the East is a term invented by game makes(Whether it be EA or just modders like yourself.)

arg.... this we know, it's been said already I just think that the factions names should be Men of the East, as they are all living in the East of Middle-Earth (just as east as Mordor)

Men of Darkness is also a good name, but I just think Men of the East clings better

I see your point but I just had to say that regardless. To see Tolkiens idea's shut out and EA's ideas put in always gets to me.

I think that Men of the East is perfect...if this mod should be EXAKTLY like the books or movies, Then they should take Galadriel, Celeborn, Elrond, Arwen f.ex out of the game, as the do no fighting in either of the two medias...besides, some of the units already have lines with the phrase "Men of the east" in the game, so that's another pro...maybe just a litte one, but it's nice:P

Yeah... go easy on the lore-thing Strider... we're not slaves to it as we all know by now

And I beleive that the Easterlings say "Men of the East" sometimes (in game)... so it must be an EA thing

Celeborn and Galadriel both play important parts in the destruction of Dol Guldor actually. Arwen was a very minor character who wouldn't have fought, although I suspect Elrond may have fought had the war gotten to Rivendell.

@Naz - Rhun means East, I think, so it's fine for Rhun soldiers to say "Rise, Men of the East!"

Well...expecting isn't good enough:P In that case I can say that I expect that the Goblins of Moria would have joined the fellowship if they offered them some food, but that did not happen either!

I havent heard Men of Darkness but easterlings surely say "Men of the east" with funny accent

Men of the East is definetly a term invented by EA.

But Men of the East doesnt fit anyway. Mabye if it was all Rhun but since Harad is in their South should be implied in some way. MoD covers both and it sounds cooler.
