Is there any plans for any heavy infantry for Gondor?

Hi guys.
For ages and ages I've wanted one extra for Gondor - the ability for Boromir to mount a horse.
For those of you who question my reasonings, although he is shown as an infantry hero, Boromir did almost the whole journey from Minas Tirith to Rivendell on horseback, and Tolkein said that it was a monumental acheivement. It would have been a bit like riding all the way from China to Russia, but Middle-Earth style. It was incredibly dangerous, and Boromir's skill with a mount saved him on several occasions. At one point he had to abandon his horse at a river and swim across, however, which is why he arrived on foot.
On top of that, Boromir would have fought on horseback as a knight the same way as Faramir does in the film and game. So I personally would love it if at some point he was allowed to mount a horse. Maybe it could be moved to Lvl.5 or disabled in the Campaign, though, because it wouldn't make sense for the Fellowship to be walking and him being on a horse until around halfway through The Two Towers, a while after the Breaking of the Fellowship (assuming he survived, which is the what-if scenario included in the game).
I know most people won't agree, but still...

I'd agree logically, but he's just so cool as an infantry hero right now. :p I think it would take away from some of Faramir's diversity, and Gondor really doesn't need 3 cavalry heroes for a typically infantry based faction...

agreed taht it would be cool, but it does take something away from faramir's uniqueness and fudges the purpose of some of gondor's heros. lore-wise; why not, gameplay-wise; no.

I guess so, but maybe it could be incorporated as an easter egg or some other way. I wouldn't actually use him as a cavalry hero; it'd just be a little fun when he needs to make an escape or quickly get somewhere. To make sure people don't start seeing him as a cavalry hero, maybe you could make some of his powers on-foot only, like Glorfindel's Blade of Purity.

Although it sounds interesting, I would have to disagree on it. Granted it was impressive what Boromir did, him being an infantry hero as is is more fitting imo.

Have there been any plans to give Aragorn a toggle for a ranged attack from his bow? I know his power slots are all used up, but maybe we could switch out Elendil or Athelas. Idk, what do you all think?

No way is that being swapped for Elendil or Athelas. If we remove the Toggle Stance button to make way for a new power for a few heroes, Aragorn will likely be given the ability to ride a horse.
For a start, it would mean him having a bow in the campaign, and although the film shows him shooting goblins in Moria the books directly say that when he left Rivendell he did not have a bow. In fact, he doesn't use a bow at any point in the book, or any other point in the film. And it would defeat his purpose as a melée specialist hero. Sorry, although it's an interesting thought. If you want Aragorn with a bow, I was under the impression that GothmogTheOrc made an Aragorn the Ranger minimod.

That's cool. It really wasn't that big of a deal. I was just wondering. Anyway, are there any Gondorian units/heroes that are being added for the new release?

I think we actually were considering giving him a bow and weakening him considerably in the campaign, and possibly in skirmish until you buy the heroes of gondor power.

I do like the weakining him part... one less over-powered hero to deal with. Seriously, he can take down a fortress in like 10 hits. Bow or no bow, his sword is a little too sharp.
