Back on topic, I'm all for tough Dunedain but all against structure heroes. Inn heroes are fine, structure heroes aren't. No particular reason except it doesn't feel right.
I'd make Madril a full-time hero, and then make a new Damrod, a Berethor and a Hurin and move them all to the Gondor Inn.

I'd actually rather see the factions able to access their own inn heroes in addition to any from their alliance, a thought I've been repeating like a broken record. :p If something like that was worked out, then I'd say forget about Damrod, and keep Madril in the inn itself. If the factions won't be able to access their own inn heroes, then make Madril a full-time hero, and put Damrod in the inn.

As for the Dunedain, I had an idea, but I guess that actually belongs in the Arnor section. I'll go there with it.

You know maybe the Dunedain shoould be their own mini faction.

Yeah, the "Knights of Arnor" that rode with Halbarad, Elladan, and Elrohir to help Aragorn out. :)

They weren't Knights.. they were just the only Rangers that could be gathered and armed in haste.

Only Rangers eh? Those rangers were the most pure blooded Dunadain left in Middle Earth. Some of the most powerful warriors at the time of the WotR

All of the Dunedain of the North were Rangers, foo' :) what I mean is they were the only warriors who could be gathered in enough time to be effective. Ie, those close enough to arrive quickly. They weren't a special corps or anything.

Actually, I think that's better put as "stronger than normal men" or "as strong as ten men". :p

I like the idea of the grey company power. That will make things a lot more interesting.

Theoden referred to them as knights... so that's what I said. :cool2: The Grey Company would be a good power... seconded.

I think the Grey Company as a Power is a pretty cool idea.

As for mini-faction, are we talking an Inn-faction or a faction to ally with, Arnor-style?

I say the Dunedain should be a mini-faction. It'd be an awesome way to split them up, so that you can focus on one or the other more so than both at the same time.

My vote goes for mini-faction.

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'

I personally think that the Gondor Soldiers, Archers and Spearmen should be immediately reskinned back to the EA skins of the Gondor soldiers.
The current ones are just plain ugly (no offense to anyone), they all look just so squat  , yes the face detail is very impressive, but all-in-all they just don't look right. They need to look like in the movies.

No offense to any of the skinners.

What the hell are you talking about?

In fact, post a couple of screenshots of Gondor units in the game, and Godor soldiers from the movie, and see if you can prove your point.
I will remember Rhovanion Alliance, RIP .

The only problem I have with the skins are the Tower Guards. (Who are actually Guardians of the Fountain Court.)

They shouldn't get gold armor with Heavy Armor upgrades. They should be wearing black and silver at first, like Pippins outfit when he joins the Guard of the Citadel. And when they get upgraded to heavy armor, they get the actual armor.

And I hated the EA skins...well, more so the EA colors, really. I strongly doubt that the Men of Gondor commonly wore pink onto the battlefield. XD

O.K., I'm sorry about what I said earlier about the Gondor Soldiers, Archers and Pikemen. I took some screenshots of the RJ units and the EA units and I found out what makes the RJ ones look squat and bowl-shouldered. Shoulder pauldrons! The RJ units are missing shoulder pauldrons.
I'm sorry that I didn't notice it before, and I'm also sorry if I offended any of the people who worked on the re-skinning of the Gondor units. ;) ;)
