Indeed? Strange, the only time I ever saw it switch is in RJ.

Can any one think of something more compensating for the final Gondor Fortress upgrade? Or try to code it so that it extends to all walls?

Hmm, the only thing that I can think of right now is a huge leadership buff for surrounding units...

I don't know hoe it could be implemented, but maybe as the final upgrade it be something to do with what Boromir was talking about in FOTR concerning Tower Guard raising the flag at dawn.

And all i got is something to do with the white tree in granting leadership or the beacons summoning rohirrim with theoden eomer and eowyn or just a rohan builder

And along with powers, I think the earthquake should be replaced with something else. IMO every faction should have their own unique 4th tier powers. So give the dwarves earthquake and replace gondors with something else

I thought a little more on my idea earlier: it requires the Ivory Tower, either have a White Gondorian banner on top of the tiower, or have it drape the sides. I was thinking the fucntion being you start it, Boromir drom the movies shouts "for Gondor!" and the Fortress emits a bigger leadership aura than the banner upgrade for a limited amount of time. Attack, armor and xp buffing is further increased in the aura.

Not a bad idea, excellent even. :p Perhaps it could also instil fear in the hearts of attacking enemies as well.

But the idea of a White Tree sounded good, just a little unsure where to implement it.

I don't think instilling fear would work imo, I was thinking for this power to be purely defense. The key for the upgrade's use is having units present around the fortress to defend it should there be an overwhelming attacking army.

Sort of like a huge-range Rallying Call, right? Sounds good to me!

Not necessarily, think of more like a Drummer Troll except in the form of a giant stone fortress.

Then I suppose it's settled then, until Rob gives his two cents on the matter.

Could the Fountain guards get a health and armour boost, I noticed theirs was lower than the Citadel Guards. I though they were supposed to be Minas Tirith's finest, chosen from the last houses of true Numenoreans

That they were. They should actually be the MHH instead of the KoDA. I don't really like their red HA cloaks or gold HA armor, anyway... just a matter of color scheme. :p

I agree. Fountain Guards should be Gondor's MHH; they'd be unique in that they'd be the only pikeman MHH in the game, and it would also settle the rather glaring problem with their ugrade-color. :p I suppose that the KoDA would become an elite cavalry if this were carried out?

imo probably not. Gondor doesn't need them, they're function is to be an all around faction. Giving them KODA takes away Rohan's edge. If anything, they should be the "new KODA" from the inn.

Or better yet, fix the whole MMH system entirely, and relocate the KoDA to the inn as powerful cavalry.

I believe the intention was that MMH's were to become "elites" in the future.

Really? I kinda liked MHHs.... Oh well. Perhaps, though, Fountain Guards could be like Citadel Guards, and not need a heavy-armor upgrade.

This brings to mind something I've considered. If KoDA were moved to the inn, and Imrahil went with them, then I'd like to see Gimli and Legolas go to Gondor, in the interest of keeping them with Aragorn. It would probably be imbalanced, I guess, but it would be nice. ;)

Nice, yes. But doubtful if that would happen. That's kind of the purpose of the Three Hunters Power anywho. If Imrahil were to be moved into the inn, opening a army hero slot in WOTR, imo Gandalf could be one. But this is dependent on what happens for Gondor in the future.
